At school the following day, I was dubbed ‘the one minute-two faced Facebook celebrity’ from all my new friends.  I still have to write a blanket apology to everyone, then turn it around with a blanket thank you to all those who have wished me well and who are barracking for me at the skateboard competition this weekend.  Could be anyone’s competition now!

But apart from the stares everyone was giving me, but this time, for a different reason – that being that I am currently the one-minute celebrity and now everyone wants to know me, the first person to approach me was none other than Sally Eggface!

‘You bitch!’ she yelled at me, ‘thanks to you and that stupid stunt you pulled yesterday during my TV show, I have now been axed and they want to replace me with YOU!’

‘What?’ I said in disbelief, but felt rather awesome on the inside, ‘Noooo… it must be a misunderstanding.’ I tried to reassure her.

‘No, no misunderstanding, as of yesterday, I am no longer the host of Grossetime Fever!’ she sobbed.

I didn’t know what to say, ‘well, I’m really sorry, Sal, I didn’t mean for that to happen.’

‘Look at you!  You look like a boy!  How are you going to wear a dress and high heels if you look like a boy?’ she sobbed even harder.

‘Well, lucky for you, I’m not interested.’ I assured her.

She stopped sobbing and looked at me, ‘you’re not?’ she asked.

‘No!  Not in the slightest!  But I have to say, being famous for just one minute was really cool, but you are definitely the best show host for that TV show!’ I said almost feeling sorry for her.

‘Really?’ she said, ‘so you will tell them that then and maybe I might get my job back?’

‘Sure!’ I agreed, ‘why not?’

Sally sighed a huge relief, ‘Ohhh, thank you, Karris McOnion – oh, sorry, I meant, McApple, you’re just too good to be my friend.’

And there you have it – leopards don’t really change their spots.  On or off TV, spoilt Sally Eggyolk will do almost anything to get her own way!  At least she will still be rich and famous off her mothers back.  And just as she was walking off, she turned around and said, ‘oh, and by the way, he’s all yours – you’re welcome to him!’

‘Who?’ I shrugged.

‘Jett Black.  We broke up last night.  After he saw you on TV, he called it off and now, I have no job or no boyfriend, and no friends… maybe I deserve it… What you did was a pretty gutsy act, I must admit.’ and then Sally turned around and this time, kept on walking.

‘Oh, My God!’ I thought to myself, ‘Jett saw it?’  My heart started pounding in my chest, ‘Oh, My God, God!  He’s now single and available…

‘Karris!’ I jumped out of my skin, ‘Hey!  Saw you on live TV last night!  Man, you were fantastic!!!’ Jett bounded up from behind me and threw his arms around my neck.  I grabbed them and turned around and threw them back at him.  He fought me for a minute before pulling me close and gently pressed his lips against mine.  My first kiss...

‘Wooohhhhh…’ cheered the onlookers who were the Vampires.  We stopped kissing and realised we weren’t the only ones in the world!  I just smiled shyly at people’s reactions, then spotted Lisa walking past.  I smiled and waved to her.  She looked at me but kept on walking.  Obviously she still wasn't talking to me - maybe that’s her way of keeping her cool about us – I just hope on Sunday that will all change.
