"Kylie what ate you doing here?" Asked Stephanie after they broke the hug. "Actually it's a long story.." Said Kylie trying to change the subject. "We have time." Replied Stephanie, wanting badly to know the reason. "Actually Stephanie, we don't have time at all. We need t-" barge Matthew but Stephanie stopped him With a shoosh and turned to Kylie. "Tell me, please." Kylie sighed and started telling the story. "While you and Matthew were in detention, Nicole and I were about to go home, but then a bunch of zombies got us and... I escaped but... Nicole didn't. I didn't know where to go. I forgot about the detention completely and I came here because I thought you were home. When I came here, zombies were all over the place. I killed them with your dad's pistol. I'm so sorry about the mess. I cleaned the zombie parts though. And I just waited here for you to maybe come back. And you did." She said and hugged Stephanie. Stephanie signed a happy sigh and hugged back. "You should join us. We're not leaving you alone." Said Stephanie. "OK. But we better stay in here for a while." Replied Kylie.
Night
It was now midnight. Stephanie, Kylie, and Matt we're sleeping in sleeping bags in the living room. While Matt and Kylie we're sleeping peacefully, Stephanie was spinning and turning. She woke up and looked around and her look landed on Kylie who was on her right. Then a weird feeling inside her made her feel... Unsure, strange. She couldn't quite put her finger on it but it sure did make her feel uneasy and sad. Her eyes were watery, and her body was shaking. She looked at Kylie again, and then she broke. she started crying, trying not to wake Matt and Kylie up. She got up. And ran up status to her gallery, her small piece of heaven. She sat in the corner, crying freely. Her own drawings are surrounding her, drawings from the time she wasn't a careless bitch. It made her wonder what would have happened if the apocalypse wasn't happening. She was home alone, while her parents are forgetting her overseas. Her friends would hate her guts for the way she treated them. She could have carried away with her act on Matthew, and something probably terrible could happen and it's all her fault. Just the thought of it made her cry harder and her inside spin, causing her nausea. The tears don't seem like their about to stop and her mind was torturing her even more.
(Downstairs)
Kylie woke up from a frightening nightmare with a start. Her chest was rising and falling quickly as she tried to breathe. After she comes down she looked around. On her right was Matthew sleeping like a rock. "How can he sleep Like a freaking baby with what is happening outside?" She thought to herself. She looked to her left, where Stephanie slept, but she wasn't there. A wave of worries was going through her mind. She got up and looked around the house. She wasn't on the first floor, and she wasn't In her bedroom in the second. But then a memory came to mind as she looked at the door at the end of the hall. The door was colorful and on the door was written:"Stephanie's art studio." There it was. The room that got forgotten by Stephanie and her. The room that was like a shelter for Stephanie whenever she was sad. "I can still remember this time where we hung out At her place at the age of 14 and her parents started fighting. She was so embarrassed and ashamed that she closed her self in the gallery. I was waiting outside the door for five hours.then I fell asleep on the door, but Steph woke me up and gave me a hug." Kylie stepped slowly to the door and the tension in her body was growing with each step. Slowly she opened the door, and in the room was Stephanie, crying in the corner. This sight was heartbreaking. "Stephanie? What's wrong?" Asked Kylie as she got closer. Stephanie cried even louder before saying:"I'm so sorry Kylie. You can't believe how sorry I am.". "What are you talking about?" Asked kylie. "This whole popularity shit. I got carried away Kylie. We used to be equal and I ruined us. I'm so so sorry." She cried out. Kylie looked at her sadly before hugging her. "I forgave you a long time ago, okay? It's not your fault. Samantha affected us badly, she gave us what we wanted the most, but she didn't tell us the cost." Kylie said and looked at her with a small smile. They stayed there for the rest of the night, talking about everything and nothing. Back downstairs, Matthew was dreaming about a certain brunet with warm caramel eyes and the most beautiful Smile he has ever seen.
(Morning)
Matthew woke up with his alarm clock. He quickly turned it off with a punch. "Ugh, why did I brought it with me?" He thought as he got out of his sleeping bag. He looked around to see both Kylie and Stephanie sleeping peacefully facing each other. He looked at Stephanie again, how well she looked in her sleep (again, not creepy at all.). Not wanting to disturb them, he went to the kitchen to eat breakfast. Not long while after Stephanie and Kylie joined him. After they all ate breakfast, they started planning their day. "OK, the first thing that we need to do Is to go to Mark's dad gun store. From there we will take ammo. Then we'll train on our weapons. " said Matthew as they went to his car. The ride to the store was quiet. Music was blurring from the radio, and both Kylie and Stephanie were trying as hard as they can not sing along. When they finally arrived, they entered the store but right away they heard someone shooting. They turned around and Matthew couldn't believe that it was him. "Mark?"
