So it wasn't him, it wasn't Valentine. It was me who claimed Valentine as my best friend first. What was Valentine going to do that was permeant and stupid? Before I had a chance to ask him he suggested that I get some rest. I thought it was best to listen to Valentine so I did as he suggested. I laid my head down on the ground, allowing the crackling fire keep me warm in the absence of a blanket. It took a few seconds, but eventually I realized that I wasn't dreaming I was having my first vision of the future.
All four of us were in a different part of the forest. We were walking. It was Adrianna leading us through with Constance silently following by her side. Valentine and I hung back walking a little bit slower but still keeping up to Adrianna and Constance. Valentine and I were talking about something and suddenly a dark skin demon appeared out of nowhere stopping us from continuing on. Adrianna readied a small fireball like the one she threw at Elek. Constance threw his fists up and Valentine summoned his gauntlets again.
Before any of us could attack, the demon spoke. The only words that I caught were the demon introducing himself as Caleon. Caleon chanted some words and suddenly both his body began to grow. Not in length but in width. His muscles were growing rapidly causing his body to expand along with it just to accommodate his muscle growth. It was disgusting. Not the fact that his body was growing but the fact that I could hear every single sound. Every bone breaking and reconnecting. Every tendon snapping and reforming.
Even his skin had trouble staying together. There were places all across his body where his skin tore apart where all we could see was flesh. It was as if his skin was a shirt that was too small for his body, when he tried to put it on the seams couldn't stay together. Eventually his muscles stopped growing. His body and muscles had grown to the point that he was squeezed in between the empty spaces. He couldn't move at all without snapping a tree.
Which is actually what happened. He took one step forward and the trees in front of him snapped as though they were toothpicks to Caleon. As the trees fell to the ground on either side of Caleon, the camouflage spell Adrianna told me about wore off and the trees appeared like normal sized trees. Caleon lifted one up without any problem. He held it up like a baseball bat ready to swing. As he swung, just before the tree hit Adrianna, an abnormally large bald eagle swept through the forest, destroying every tree in its path. It lifted its talons and dug them into the bark of the tree. With Caleon caught off guard the eagle effortlessly ripped the tree out of Caleon's hands and tossed it aside.
While the eagle smacked Caleon with its wings and scratched him with its sharp talons, two people appeared out of the wreckage the eagle caused. One dark skinned man and an Asian woman. Even though they were two different ethnicities, the woman and man gave off the feeling that they were siblings. The man had very short black hair, almost no hair at all. He had a muscular build that I could even see through the light blue jean jacket he was wearing. From what I saw, starting from the man's left temple and ending at the right side of his chin, an eye-catching scar ran down his face. Almost as if a blade had slashed him deep. The man had a hairy chin strap but where the scar met his chin it was perfectly smooth.
The woman had light brown hair with dark blond highlights with loose curls at the ends. Even though she didn't have as much muscle as the man, she wasn't scrawny either. She was wearing a solid black short sleeved shirt and skinny jeans. Painted all across her left arm were tattoos of animals. It wasn't until I caught sight of an eagle tattoo that took up the majority of the front side of her forearm that I realized she was a summoner. Just like Valentine and my brother. While the eagle fought Caleon, the woman ran up too Adrianna.
