Lapidot: A Second Chance at Love

Breakfast Together

I woke up to a blue creature cuddling with me...

Wait a second..that's not a pillow...

So apparently Lapis slept in the same bed as me. I was blushing like crazy but I couldn't wake her, it wouldn't be right. We had to get to school before 7:10 AM, it was 6:30 AM. Lapis slowly started to wake up.

"Uhh, Lapis..?"

She groans and opens one eye, then smiles.

"Morning Peri.." She says tiredly.

I don't respond, my face is as red as a tomato. I didn't want her to stop cuddling with me. I kinda like it...

I'm pretty sure she realized what she's doing now because she's blushing.

"S-sorry..! I cuddle when I'm in bed...mostly with a pillow of some sorts..." She seemed embarrassed.

"It's fine..! Just tell me the next time you want to do that..!" She's so damn cute..PERIDOT. NO. CONTROL YOUR DESIRES.

"O-okay..!" She smiles but faintly blushes.

"We have to get to school."

"Uuuuuuugggghhhh. Do we have to..???" She groans.

"Um, yeah. Here I'll let you borrow some of my clothes." I grab some clothes from my closet, I throw them to her. "Here."

The clothes land on her face.

"Thanks!" She gives a thumbs up.

Oh my fucking stars can she not be cute for at least 5 seconds?!

She walks off to the bathroom to change, I go down to the kitchen and made some breakfast. Technically me making breakfast is normal cereal, but for Lapis I'll make some eggs.

•Time Skip: 10 minutes•

I finished the scrambled eggs! Well sorta.

I had almost burned down the house and only lit my hair on fire once! I feel pretty damned accomplished. Oh! Lapis is coming down! I walk over to a seat and wait for her.

"Okay I'm re--what's all this for?" She asks with a grin on her face, slightly blushing as well.

"I decided to make breakfast, I do this all the time." That's a lie. Peridot what're you doing? You're lying to get a girl to like you?! Nice.

"Oh! I thought you did all of this because I'm here!" She laughs nervously.

HAHA YEAH NOPE I DO THIS ALL THE TIME!

"Nah." I lied again.

"Well okay..! Thanks!" She gave me a cute smile. I blushed slightly.

Lapis' POV:

Wow this breakfast looks really good! But I'm pretty sure Peri is lying about doing this everyday. If she did make it for me that's very kind of her! If not well then it's still nice to have a formal breakfast, I haven't had a proper one in 2 years..!

I sat down on a chair at the table and looked at Peridot. I didn't realize that part of her hair was burnt or that there wasn't enough breakfast for the two of us.

"What about you?" I ask.

"It's fine, I can just make myself some toast later."

"Oh..! Okay!" I give her another cute smile, hoping she'd blush.

She did.

Honestly she's so adorable when she blushes.

I took a bite out of the scrambled eggs and I swear my eyes turned to stars. It was so good, it was like fireworks in my mouth! I loved every bite, but I finished all of it in about 2 minutes.

"That. Was. Amazing."

"Heh, you're welcome!" She lights up. "Anyways, we gotta head to school, come on!"

I got up and grabbed my bad.

Today is going to be a good day.
