RJ pulls up to a gas station, which is deserted except for a motorcycle. The rider nods to him and drives away. The lights go out and a panicked RJ gets in his car, only to find his keys missing. When he gets out of his car, someone places a bag over his head and takes him away.

When RJ regains his senses, he sees that both he and his mother are tied up and gagged at the reserve. A deep voice, seemingly coming from nowhere, begins asking questions:

"Ever wonder what happens if a shaman gets bitten?" "Ever wonder what happens if you get bitten?" "What do you think your mother would do?" "What do you think she'd have to do?" "When all it would take to change everything, is one bite."

Mrs. Thompson breaks free and shows him that the voice is coming from a phone held by another shaman (Ben), the same man he saw earlier at the gas station.

Mrs. Thompson tells him that she is going to train him. She brings up bullets as a way to let him know that she knows that he shot the shaman they'd sent to deal with Wong. He protests that they were going to kill him. Mr. Preston says those are the kind of hard choices the shaman have to make. He then informs him that the women of the Thompson family are the leaders. He then hands him a bullet and tells the shaman to time his escape.

RJ uses the bullet to cut through the ropes binding him to the chair. It takes two and a half hours, which is apparently good as the shaman left to time him says it took her three.

RJ leaves in his car, and something rope like winds around a shaman's foot as she leaves and hangs her from the neck. She pulls out a root, then falls down, seemingly dead. Then the transparent creature flees the scene.

It's climbing day in gym class. RJ and Dakota scale the wall together, and she tells him she doesn't have the ability to use rope like that. Whatever attacked him in Wong's house had a rope. After they talk about his butt, RJ knocks her to the mat and everyone laughs.

Next, Eli climbs the wall with a random guy named Eric. As Eric hyperventilates, RJ warns the coach that he's asthmatic. Eric is coughing and eventually drops back safely to the mat.

Back in the locker room, Marco overhears, using his wolf hearing, Eli and Dakota saying new werewolf Wong is Lockwood's problem. The pair are busy planning an excursion. While Eli is keen to get a little action, Dakota is nervous about RJ's mother and the new, mysterious creature. Suddenly, Dakota's hand begins shaking. She runs to the darkened gym, where she literally catches Eric. He had attempted to scale the wall again and fell due to an asthma attack. RJ asks how she knew Eric was going to fall, and Dakota says she felt that it was going to happen.

In the hospital, Eli's mom tells Eric she knows the boy hasn't been taking his medication. After Rebecca leaves, Lockwood shows up in the hospital. He reads the side effects listed on his pill bottle — anxiety weight gain and acne. Lockwood seduces him with the promise that he can make it all go away. Lockwood's eyes glow red.

In biology class, a film about vaccination is playing. Steph is upset about the camera she lent Marco. Suddenly, the werewolf starts to pay attention to immunology video. After class, he chases down Maria and demands she tell him who is going to die. He believes she isn't human either and that she knows something about what Lockwood want from him. But she says nothing and flees.

Afterwards Maria sobs in the bathroom when a pair of dirty designer boot appears under the stall door. She protests that the, obviously male, feet are in the girl's room and the feet wander away. Maria follows quickly and sees a mysterious figure looking at the trophy case. He wanders away and when she peeks at the trophies, she sees the name Katy Preston on one of the awards and then flashes back to seeing Luca coming towards her.
