I looked at Abby she grabbed Sadie and I grabbed Madelyn and handed her to Sharp so they could be together. We all filled into the basement. I was next to Jonathan and Patrick with Shianne next to Patrick.
We all were scared. Nobody would admit it though. The power went out everybody was next and close to everybody. I was so close to Jonathan I was probably on his lap. I got a text from my parents who were at home in Iowa thank god.
Convo
Parents: Are you OK?
Me: Yes. Okay I got to go before my phone dies. Bye.
Parents: Bye.
End if convo
I turned of my phone. And just held on to Jonathan.
"You scared?" he asked/whispered in my ear.
"Yes. I hate storms," I whispered back.
"You'll be ok," he whispered and held me closer. I snuggled into him.
5 minutes later...
"Do you guys have a radio down here?" Crawford yelled. I knew it was him. He has a recognizable voice.
"Yeah, its in the corner," Jonathan said.
Crawford turned on his phone for a flashlight and found it. Crow turned it on the news. We all listened.
Since I was sitting on a counter leaning on Jonathan I almost fell asleep when everybody screamed. We could all go upstairs its 3:00 am. Jeez stupid tornado.
No damage was done to the house. Just outside. Trees were down along with power limes and still no electricity. But everybody was all going the UC to make sure nothing happened.
When we got there we all pulled up in the parking lot. Only trees were down. They weren't to bad of tornados they were just really long. 3 hours plus.
We all decided to go our separate ways. Accept for a few guys that don't have basements. Great! Sleepover I think some guys just came over for the fun of it. We all grabbed blankets and slept in the living room like a actual sleepover. I was tired so I really didn't care but I was sleeping on the couch.
I woke up the next morning to all the guys (Saad, Shaw, Bollig, Crawford, Kane, Versteeg, and Hjalmarsson) including Toews) and Shianne all talking good to know that I got to sleep-in till 7:30.
"You guys all suck," I said as I walked into mine and Jonathan's room for hat to cover my red instead of brown hair. I came back with my hair in the hat.
"Your hair isn't that bad," Kane said.
"Yeah it is. Their gonna get you too so drop it," I replied.
I went to the kitchen and grabbed bowls, spoons, the cereals, and milk and carried it out to everyone. Everybody just dug in and I sat there and smiled knowing I did the right thing and I didn't have to make breakfast.
By noon everybody had left and we all would see each other at 1:30 for practice. We play the kings next series.
