Oh, fuck! I quickly got up from my bed, grabbing my phone in a strangling manner. I wanted to murder it, to smash it, to crush it between my mom’s buttocks, but right now I had far more important things to do, plus the fact that Devious was going to write me through Flex today. Wait, was he penetrating my thoughts already?
I shook my head and glared at my stupid smartphone, sighing. I left it on my pillow and rapidly got up and ran towards the bathroom, taking a quick shower, as well as brushing my teeth, washing my face and shaving. It’s not like the hair on my chin was that visible, in fact – it barely grew. I suppose I wasn’t man enough to grow a beard, yet even the little, snow white fur was annoying me. I wondered what it would be like if my chin started growing hair. I’d look like Santa Claus junior, hit by puberty.
With the floor being wet and slippery, it was inevitable for me to slip and hit it with my backside.
“FOUCH!” I hissed under my breath, confused internally by what I had just said. Apparently, I had the intention of saying “fuck”, but I realized my mom would hear it, so I wanted to say “ouch” instead .. And so, an abomination of both was made.
I stood up and rubbed my butt, running to my room to quickly dress up. I even had the school uniform, since my mom ordered it in Norway a few days ago. I’m surprised how fast it came, but it had one hell of a price, because of the shipping.
Being in a hurry, I clumsily dressed up, leaving my shirt hanging outside my pants awkwardly, as I put on the sleeveless pullover and tried to fix my tie. Of course, it was left hanging awkwardly around my neck. Fuck, this wasn’t how my first day at school should’ve been.
“Mom, I’m leaving!” I yelled, seeing that she was once again talking on the phone with someone. I frowned when she didn’t pay me any attention and left the hotel, running like crazy towards the school. It’s not like I knew where it is, it’s just that I had GPS on my phone -..
Oh, FUCK, my phone.
I stopped in the middle of the street and ran back again, going inside the hotel and into my room to just take that stupid phone off my pillow and stuff it into my pocket. I ran pass my mother, seeing that she was still talking on that phone, and frowned, leaving quickly. I thought I heard her yelling after me, but I had no time to spare now. The second lesson had already started and if I didn’t hurry up, I might as well miss it. I was already panting as I ran towards my new school, hoping to get there before the third lesson, and also – to not get misled by my smartphone’s GPS system.
“Oh God, I am so late..” I sighed as I unknowingly entered the school, realizing I’ve been running for some good fifteen minutes before I actually reached it. I didn’t even look in front of me, I only stared at the screen and lifted my head every now and then, just to make sure I wasn’t running into a person or a car. Hell, maybe even a pole ..
Now, which room was mine?! I bit my lip anxiously and started running around the seemingly empty corridors of the school. Everyone was in class and I couldn’t even ask for help. My GPS was refusing to guide me any further, too.
God, who knew schools could be this big?
I started opening classrooms randomly, checking for the teacher I had been told earlier this week to expect. He was tall, grumpy, had brown hair and wore glasses. Lovely, your average stereotypical teacher.
“Whoops, sorry!” The first classroom was obviously not the one I’ve been looking for, and neither was the second and third one. I started feeling even more and more awkward, as more than twenty pairs of eyes were staring at me as I opened the seventh door. God, if they didn’t know a foreigner was coming, they sure as hell knew now. The whole school had probably seen me already!
“Sorry, wrong room!” I apologized again, skipping to the third floor. I already checked more than ten rooms and it was starting to get ridiculous how damn big this school was. Or should I call it a mansion? Tsch, maybe more like a freaking labyrinth.
I didn’t realize how slowly time passed in school. I was hoping for the second lesson to finish so that I could ask someone for help, but no. Of course, schools defied physics by default. Even time passed slowly. I bet you can’t even age in here.
It’s like I’ve entered a parallel universe!
“Sorry, wrong room-..”
“Ah, there’s our new student!” someone greeted me from the classroom I had just entered, and I froze, looking around to see that the teacher I’ve been looking for was right there, behind his desk, while the students were staring at me as if I’ve just came from the moon. The whisperings started immediately, as I sighed in relief and entered.
Finally, my good luck returns.
