CHAPTER 3

When I got to history I turned my music off and walked in. My history teacher, Mr Parker was my favourite teacher, and I was one of his most favourite students.

I walked to the back of the room and sat at my usual desk in the corner. Nobody else was here yet.

"Good morning Miss Emberlin." Mr Parker said cheerfully to me.

"Good morning Mr Parker." I replied.

As the class started to fill up I took out my notebook and began to doodle.

A few minutes later there was a knock at the door. Everyone turned to look at who was there as Mr Parker called for them to come in.

The door opened and a very fit boy walked in. He looked about 6"3. His hair was a very dark brown and his eyes were green, almost leaf green. He wore dark jeans with a tight black top that showed off his muscles and abs.

"Ah, you must be Alex." Mr Parker said. Alex nodded. "Well I am Mr Parker and this is your history class. You may take a seat." Alex nodded again.

His eyes scanned the classroom and when they landed on me, he walked over to the spare desk beside me.

I looked down at my notebook as he made his way over and finished shading in the drawing. For some reason I had drawn a rose dripping blood.

This happened quite often. My evil powers would make me draw something as a sign. But what did this one mean?

I quickly closed my notebook and shoved it back into my bag.

"Hi." Alex whispered to me as he sat down and the teacher began to talk again. I nodded my head once in reply. I didn't even look at him I just tried to concentrate on what the teacher was saying.

"I know what you are." Alex whispered so nobody else could hear.

"And I know what you are." I whispered back.

"So are you in the circle that I will soon be leading?" He asked.

"I used to be, but I left."

"Why did you leave?" Jeez, does he ever stop asking questions?

"I don't like to talk about it." I replied, hoping he would just shut up.

"Oh, okay. So, why do you wear your hood up?" I glared at him.

"Do you ever stop asking questions? I mean, seriously dude I would actually like to learn something this lesson." I whispered angrily.

"Fine, fine, just answer this last question and I'll shut up. Why did you draw a rose dripping blood?" He asked, amused.

"I don't know." I said, because I honestly didn't know.

"How can you not know?"

"That's two questions. You said to answer one more question and I answered it, now zip it."

He sighed in defeat. "Fine." He said and turned his attention back to the teacher.

I didn't know why he wanted to know why I had drawn a rose dripping blood. But there was one thing I am sure about. He is strong, but I am stronger than him.
