The carriage rolls up to my castle. Amster is only a five-hour drive from the Virgin Isles. I walk inside the castle, and the maids and servants bow. I walk to my office and take a scroll and ink feather. I begin to write...Dear King Edward and Queen Victoria of the Virgin Isles,
As solitary king of Amster, you must know that I am in desperate need of a wife. I have had multitude of balls and galas to find a suitable wife, but I could not find one that intrigued me and my court. But, when I entered your ball for Prince Aaron, and met your darling Ashlyn, it reminded me of the love my father and mother had for each other. With your and her blessing, I would be honored to begin seeing Ashlyn as my beloved and possibly the future queen of Amster.
Sincerely,
King Peter of AmsterI seal it in a enevelope, then call a messenger and he runs to the room, "Yes King Peter?"
"I need you to mail this to King Edward and Queen Victoria of the Virgin Isles. It is very urgent that you get it to them straight away," I say.
He nods, "Yes, King." He takes the envelope and runs out the room. I open the book, 'War and Peace' and begin reading.
Ashlyn
"Three weeks?! You want to get married in three weeks?!" Amelia shrieked. Rose and Aaron were sitting at the dinner table, talking about their wedding. Amelia and Lily claimed the three weeks was to little time, but Rose and Aaron thought it was just enough. I personally was daydreaming about my wedding with Peter. If we get married..
"I think three weeks is perfect," Rose smiled.
"What?! What about the cake? The bridesmaid dresses? The decorations? The guests? The wedding dress?!" Lily shrieked.
Rose shrugged, "What does Ashlyn think?"
I looked at them, "Well, three weeks may be to little.."
"Thank you!" Lily and Amelia cut me off.
"But. Ultimately, it's their decision. It's their wedding, after all," I reply.
Aaron smiles, "Great answer. Ok, so we'll compromise. We'll have the wedding no more than two months from now." Lily and Amelia look at each other before nodding.
"Ok great. We can start prepping later," Rose smiles.
A messenger runs up to Father, "King Edward and Queen Victoria. A message from Amster," he hands father a sealed envelope, "His messenger says it's urgent."
Father and Mother nod, "We'll go read the letter. See you later." They get up and go to their office. The food comes out, sizzling and ready. I eat about half before a messenger comes up to me.
"Princess Ashlyn, the king and queen wish to see you in their office," he says.
"Of course," I respond. He escorts me through the halls before stopping at a door. I open the door to see Mother and Father sitting at their desks.
"Sit down Ashlyn," Father motions to a seat.
I sit and Mother hands me the letter, "It's from Peter. He wants permission from us and you to begin dating you."
Heat rises to my cheeks, "Oh. Does he have your permission?"
They nod, "From the beginning. It's up to you now." I look at them and tell them my decision.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm positive."
Peter
Three Days LaterA messenger walks to me, "From the Virgin Isles." I nod and open the envelope.
Dear King Peter of Amster,
It is an honor to have a kind soul has yours ask our permission to see Ashlyn. Due to your asking, we have given you permission to see Ashlyn as a possible future wife and queen of Amster. The castle, kingdom, and royal family have all agreed that this is beneficial for the sake of both of our kingdoms.
Sincerely,
King Edward, Queen Victoria, and Princess Ashlyn of the Virgin IslesI sigh as my heart is filled with overwhelming joy. She said yes.

Deliah came to my office as requested, "What do you need?"
"I need to be completely and utterly sure of your existence to this. You can't get cold feet now," I say.
She nods, "Yeah, yeah, I'm all in." I clap and a man with a blade.
"What is that?" Deliah asks. I pinch a slight hole on my finger, and blood drips.
"It's for a blood oath. Our blood oath," I smile and hand her the blade. She reluctantly follows my movements and slices a hole on her finger. I place our fingers together.
"There, there's no turning back."
No turning back.
