After many months of planning, it was finally happening. I was getting married! Hunter and I took a little break from doing work over the holidays and planned out our wedding. We disagreed on a lot of different things. We both agreed we wanted a wedding in May, before Xavier's birthday. There was no way I was letting Hunter buy a slip and slide for our wedding. We planned out our wedding very carefully. I wanted everything to be perfect. Hunter more or less planned all the food. He picked out all of his favorite foods for our first dinner as a married couple. I took Mandy and my mother out shopping for my wedding dress. Hunter wasn't allowed to see my dress, it's bad luck. We also got my bridesmaids dresses. Mandy was my maid of honor of course. Chris was Hunter's best man. Every little detail was planned out and perfect. Hunter even got Xavier a little tux. It was the cutest thing I had ever seen.
I had woken up early to prepare for the wedding. Hunter had gone out last night with Chris and Greg. He didn't want to see me until I walked down the aisle. I spent the whole morning getting my makeup done. I had Mandy curl my hair for me. Xavier sat down beside me and watched the whole time. Once Mandy had finished on my hair, I got up and stretched.
"Are we going now?" Xavier asked.
I looked up at the clock. It was ten past two. The wedding started at 3. We wanted a wedding in the afternoon so Xavier could see it. If we had it too late at night, he would be falling asleep.
"Yes we are going now. Go get your shoes and bring them to me." I said to him.
He ran out of the bathroom and into the hallway. I grabbed my dress and my shoes. I walked out into the hallway and to the stairs. Xavier was sat at the bottom of the stairs. He put his shoes on as I got to the last step. I opened the door for him and he ran out.
"Mandy I'll meet you there!" I yelled out before I shut the door.
I walked over to the car and opened the door. Xavier climbed in and slid into his seat. I placed my dress down and started buckling him in.
"You look pretty." Xavier said.
"Thanks." I said as I smiled.
I shut the door and got into the front seat. I started the car up and drove out from the driveway. My mother had left early this morning to set up last minute things. She took Xavier's suit with her to make sure he wouldn't ruin it.
"Mama I'm hungry." Xavier said.
I realized I hadn't made him anything for breakfast or lunch. I slapped my forehead.
"I'm sorry baby. I was busy all morning." I said to him.
"It's okay. You are getting married today, you were busy." Xavier said.
I looked up at the mirror to see Xavier's face. He was smiling at me. I smiled back at him. He was such a good boy. I drove the rest of the way to the hall. I pulled into the parking lot and saw there were many cars. I cursed under my breath. I drove around to the front and saw an empty spot. I drove into the spot. I saw a sign stuck into the ground. It read;
"Luna."
I smiled at it. I turned the car off and got out. I opened the back door and Xavier was already out of his seat. He jumped out of the car and dusted his shoulder off.
"Go find grandma. I'll be in soon." I said.
He ran off towards the door. I grabbed my dress and shoes and locked the car. I walked over to the door where Chris was stood. He has his tux on and pointy schools. I felt tears go to my eyes.
"No crying, you are wearing makeup that took hours." Chris said.
I breathed in sharply and nodded. I walked in and he closed the door behind me. I looked in and saw the hall all decorated. Hunter was nowhere in sight.
