"Boys please be careful with the tree!" I said as they walked past me.
It was finally Christmas time! Well, it was Christmas Eve. My voice had finally came back. I felt better and was back on track. We were all getting ready for the big day tomorrow. Xavier was really excited for tomorrow. Everyone in the pack was out decorating their houses. My mother, Isabella, Mandy and Mia were all gone out. They decided they wanted to go buy last minute Christmas gifts.
"Babe relax, we aren't going to break anything." Hunter said.
Just as he turned the corner, he bumped into a table. I watched as a vase hit the ground and broke into a thousand pieces.
"Oops." He said.
"Hunter that was my favorite vase!" I said
"I'll get you a new one!" He yelled back.
I walked into the living room and watched them set the tree up. Chris grabbed the box of decorations and set them down.
"We have to wait until the others come back. God knows what Mandy will do if we start without her." I said.
"Fair enough." Hunter said.
Xavier looked up at the tree with aw. He ran over to the window and looked out.
"Papa, can we go play outside?" He asked.
"We can go play outside after dinner. We have to start decorating buddy. Do you want to help?" Hunter asked.
"Ya!" Xavier said.
He ran off into the kitchen. I laughed and walked over to Hunter.
"Have you finished wrapping your gifts?" I asked him.
"I haven't even started." Hunter said.
"You can go up and start wrapping if you want. I can start with decorating with Chris." I said.
"You're the best." He said.
"I know." I said.
Hunter kissed me quickly and then ran up the stairs. I headed into the kitchen. Chris had Xavier sat on top of the kitchen counter. He was feeding him icing.
"Chris what did I say? You don't feed him icing before dinner. He's going to throw up. "I said as I picked up Xavier.
"Come on sis, live on the wild side." Chris said.
"He's not even four Chris, icing isn't good for him." I said.
"But it's good for me." He said.
He poured the whole tube in his mouth.
"Chris you fucker I need icing for the cookies!" I said.
He just shrugged his shoulders and smiled.
"God you should have gone with Mandy. You're annoying the shit out of me." I said.
"Mandy wouldn't let me go with her, no matter how much I begged." Chris said as he swallowed the icing.
"You begged? Are you crushing on my Beta?" I asked.
"Pffft what? No!" He said.
I just rolled my eyes. I put Xavier down and he ran off.
"Why are you asking? Does she like me?" Chris questioned.
"How am I supposed to know?" I said as I turned to the fridge.
"You're her best friend! You should know!" Chris basically cried.
I sighed. I turned to him.
"You're not mated to her, so it can't happen." I said.
