<Kagi>
*tick* *tock*
I happened to wake up in the middle of the night, tired and scared of something. I didn't know what triggered my fear-but I didn't feel safe.
Unlocking my door, I tip-toed to my parents room. I knew that mom wasn't home but, dad was sleeping alone. He must be lonely too.
I twisted the door knob and the room was pitch black, but I did see his phone blinking in the corner.
Quietly, I crawled into the bed and snuggled besides him. It was cold...beneath the blankets.

"Is- is that you, Kagi?" I seemed to have woke him. "You need anything?"
"No, don't mind me." I whispered.
"Aright." He wrapped his arms around me.

Trying to hide his lost composure, I made sure that his empty heart was filled with something for the time being. I bet mom misses him, us.

"Hey, when is mom coming home?" I asked.
"21 days, in counting." He spoke.
"You've kept track?"
"Never missed a day."
"That's so like you." I giggled.
"I did fall for a beauty, didn't I?" He joked.

His grip around me became tighter, he snapped. I guess coming in here to console him wasn't a good idea but, he needed someone to talk to.
"Dad, you know I'm here too." I reminded him. "I know I can't replace mom-"
"I'm well aware, I'm grateful." His word faded and then fell back asleep.

When I thought about it, Dad is just another guy in the world. Mom is too...but the way we live is suffering isn't it?

At school, I saw Seiichi with Nana. Those two must be in the same division...however, the relationship between them is broken. They're not compatible partners if that was the case.

Though I did hear that Nana is Seiichi's recent partner. They just happened to swap people around due to an incident with his other partner. No one was able to fill me in on the matter. I wonder what happened?

"Seiichi." I called him out during one of our classes together. "How are you doing?"
"Huh? Uh- fine." He said, "if anything I should be asking you that. Did you treat that P-"
"Y-yeah. About that, do you think you can not refer to that here? I just feel uncomfortable whenever that's brought up." I informed.
"Oh-sure. Sorry, I guess." He apologized.

Wait. Did he just apologize to me? The infamous, rude Seiichi Yoru?
"But keeping that quiet is gonna cost'yah." He smirked.
Never mind. He's ruthless.
"Anyway, I don't think that boyfriend of yours would want to see us talking to each other." He looked around as if he was here.

"S-Sarumi and I aren't like that! You should know by now."
"Hehe, but-"
"We're not."
"Alright, alright. That means I can hit you up right?"
"W-what?"
"Haha, just go already. I don't know why you're talking to a guy like me anyways."

"Oi, Akabane." A another male student hollered out my name, "you too, Yoru."
"What now?" Seiichi sighed.
"Teacher wants you in the conference room. Good luck."

We both looked at each other and shrugged.
When we walked down, I wondered if Nana or Sarumi would come too however, to my surprise, Uncle was there.
He eyed me as sat down, with a concern expression. Then, sliding a folder to us sitting at the opposite ends.

"School board had cameras on what happened. Apparently there going to make it public." He paused for a second, "it's up to Kagi if she wants to-"
"I don't think that's a good idea." Seiichi spoke up. "Make it public but, only display me."

Is he trying to save me or something?
I spoke, "W-will it benefit the people? Either way we can't risk the fact that we are-"
"They don't know that. The camera's show that a girl was attacked and a male student saved her. It's your go, if you want to take this to court."
But Seiichi had a gun.
