Deadly Sniper

"Well it's not this one." I said to Sarumi as I slashed the enemy's throat. His body dropping like a puppet on the cold ground.
"It must be the one we suspected originally."

Sarumi looked up as his hands had twisted the man's arm back like a pretzel. Blood covered his face from the battle we just fought however, Sarumi didn't look like he was finished.
Kagi was right...When Sarumi is separated from her, he's not sane. Eyes of an assassin. A killer. Those clouded eyes which Nagisa possessed when we first met.
Of course, I never thought it would be the truth. No silver lining to back up Sarumi's innocence of being human.

"Uncle." Sarumi spoke.
"Y-yeah? All finished?" I looked back at the man beneath him. He was obviously dead.
"The ear pieces are ringing."
"Guess we have to ditch them huh?" I took them from my ears and crushed it with my boot.
"Walkie-talkies of course." I waved them in the air. "Here." I lightly threw it over and he caught it.

<Sarumi>
"Found anything? I repeat, did you guys find anything? Over." The walkie-talkie made a static sound and I waited.
Please...Kagi, reply. For every second, I am losing my mind.
"Nothing, over."
Thank goodness...
"We suspect that its location D, over."
"We're heading there now, over."
"Kagi?"
"Yes?"
"Stay safe please, over."
"You too...ill see you later. Over."

Once the connection broke. I felt empty again. The bottomless pit of worry consumed me.

"Don't think too much about it." Uncle patted my back. "She's a tough girl. My daughter of course." He comforted me.
"That has many pros and cons, sir." I pointed out.
"I must thank you Sarumi. For taking care of Kagi all these years. Quite grateful. You have my permission for her hand if that's the case." He spoke casually.
I smiled and patted his back.
"Let's meet them there."

<Kagi>
I scanned the area that surrounded the ominous building. Nothing more but scraps and all debris left behind.
We both hid behind an abandoned truck before heading into the building.

"Cover me." Seiichi placed his hand on my head. "Heard you are a killer with the sniper." He teased. "I'm going out."
"Alright."
I swung the bag over. Which was slung across my back and unzipped it. There it laid. The beauty of my handy dandy sniper.
"Locked and loaded." I gave Seiichi the heads up. "Whenever you are."

Seiichi took out his SIG sauer and smirked.
"Let's show them all we got." Then he ran out into the most vulnerable grounds of the enemy. Trees and more trees. A sniper's nest.

The first one I detected was a half a mile away. I sensed the bloodlust. I know I'm not wrong. Who can deceive a sniper like me?
I peeked through the scope and aimed at the target.
"Sorry buddy. Gotta be faster than that."
The bullet quietly sniped the sniper in the head. Quiet than a mouse could ever be.

"Now...where are the other ones-"
A slight rustle of branches startled me. I looked up. Above me.
A man was perked within a thick tree branch. How did he not notice me? Wow...these are idiots with guns huh? What a waste.

I took out my handgun and rolled over to my back. Arm raised. 3, 2, 1...
Gravity forced his body down to the ground and made a light thud however, the weapons that fell with him could of been quieter. What can you expect?

Army crawling over. I looked through the man's pockets and saw two grenades and a smoke bomb. What a lucky catch...
When I went back to my post. Seiichi had made it to the door.

*Beep* *Beep*
That's not a good sound...
I poked around looking for a bomb that I knew existed. The man did know I was there. A suicide bomber? Damn. Where is it?!
*Beep*
There! Underneath the car! My heart stopped automatically. This is not good...
The planted bomb was small, however it can do great damage. Calm down. It's alright. It's not like you can disarm this. I've never seen a bomb so complex like this before. A professional bomber. 20 seconds before detonation.

Well...looks like we're going on a trip. I tuck the sniper in my arms and hugged it. There was a ditch a few meters behind me. Guess I'm rolling.

<Seiichi>
I managed to get the door open. Before I knew it. A loud boom got me moving.
The heat waves tickled my flesh and the force and slammed me against the side of the building.
"Ugh...too many bombs today." I crawled back up and used the wall to help me. When I noticed that the car was in flames...I couldn't move.

"K-Kagi!" I shouted.
Only the fumes and fire roared and blared.
"Kagi!" Again my voice projected.
Without thinking twice, I scurried across the field. Over to where Kagi was. A faint notation in my head, that she had been killed by the bomb.
For my sudden movements. Made be exposed to everything else. My eyes had caught a sniper deep within the branches. It was too late for me to draw my gun.

*Bang*
"You idiot! Why did you come back!" Kagi's voice screeched. The red laser disappeared and I saw his body fall out of the tree.
"K-Kagi?!" I nervously looked around.
Until I saw her coming from the left side of the flames. All covered in dirt and leaves that stuck from her hair. The gun that she held...which took down the man.

"I'm alright." I could see her limping a bit.
"You're an idiot too..." I sighed in relief. I couldn't help but to take in her in and embrace her.
"S-Seiichi?"
"I-I'm just glad...you're okay. Thank god..."
I couldn't shake off this weird feeling. I wonder how a girl like Kagi, was able to bring me back to this side. It kinda tingles actually.

My ears popped and I heard metal clicking away. Both Kagi and I were out in the open. There's only one thing that I can do to prevent anymore damage to the success of this mission. I'll have to stand my ground.

<Kagi>
"Seiichi, nows not the time to-"
*Bang* *Bang*
With just a blink of an eye...everything came crashing down on us. Seiichi's body swayed. He's been hit!
"S-Seiichi! Let go!"
His body became heavy and leaned onto mine.
"Don't move." He instructed. "Or you'll get hit too. Just listen to me and stay-"
*Bang*
"L-let go!" I tried to pry him off me, but he kept using himself as a shield. "Let go! Dammit!"
*Bang* *Bang*
Before he could hold himself. He collapsed on me. D-don't tell me...he's dead?

"S-Seiichi?"
