The next morning, I decided to put a decent amount of makeup onto my face. I hadn't applied any makeup since I had broken up with Louis. After a couple of glances in the mirror, I decided to go to Chris's.
The weather was pleasant. I was literally smiling all the way.
Arriving at Chris's house, I took a deep breath and rang the doorbell. (Which was totally weird.)
Chris opened the door with a warm, welcoming smile.
"Bonjour Madam!" Chris said, bowing. I laughed.
"Bonjour" I said, walking in.
The odour in his house was mesmerising. Like chocolate butter. The interiors looked simple yet classy. To be really honest, I didn't feel like it was a boy's house.
"You have an amazing house."
"Thank you. Come, take a seat." He said, gesturing towards his sofa.
There were photos all over the wall. There were picture of his family, his friends, his pets.
"So, how's Louis?" Chris said, keeping two steaming hot cups of coffee on the table.
I instantly felt a lump in my throat. Doesn't he know that we broke up? It's all over social media.
"I don't know." I said, not removing my gaze from the photographs on the wall.
"What do you mean?" Chris said in a confused tone.
"We broke up a few days ago." I said, sighing.
"Oh, I am so sorry. Mind telling me what happened?"
I told him the 'Story'.
"Do you still love him?" He asked, looking me straight in the eyes.
"I don't know."
"Look Olivia, I am no one to say this, but I think you should just forget him now. If he really loved you, he wouldn't have done this to you. In fact, you should cut off contacts from each and every person who's associated with Louis. I hope you understand what I mean."
"No Chris! I can't just cut contacts with the other lads. Just because I broke up with him, doesn't mean I won't talk to them. They are amazing and the most precious people in my life."
"As you wish. It was just a suggestion. Here, have your coffee."
"How's your sister by the way?"
"How do you know I have a sister?"
"She came to the concert, remember?"
"Oh yeah. She's good and a Big fan of you."
"Really? That's so sweet."
The conversation was going smoothly..Until I spilled coffee on myself.
*Clumsiness Alert*
I don't even remember how many times I have embarrassed myself in front of a good looking guy.
"The washroom's that way, here, take a tissue." Chris said, giving me a box of tissue paper. His phone starting ringing. So he excused himself while I went to use the washroom.
"Chris, where's the towel?" I asked, coming out of the bathroom. He was still on the call.
"2nd cabinet from the right!"
I opened the cabinet and took out a clean white towel. A picture was kept in the cabinet too. Or I should rather say, it was hidden. I took out the picture and was shocked to see that it was a picture of Louis and me on an airplane. How did he get this picture?!
That wasn't the only thing that shocked me. There was a big red cross over Louis's face. A chill ran down my spine.
There was everybody else in the picture, except Alex. Which means SHE took this picture and gave it to Chris. But why?"All okay, Olivia?"
I quickly kept the picture in my pocket and turned around.
"Absolutely, Um..I gotta go..."
"But you just came."
"Ya I know but Sophia called me and said there's some work at the showroom so I have to go. Thanks for the coffee."
"Should I drop you?"
"No It's ok. Bye."
"Is everything okay, Olivia? You look so confused and..Er..Scared?"
"What? No...I am just thinking about what work Sophia was talking about. That's all"
"Oh Ok."
I took my purse off his sofa and started to walk out.
"We should meet again sometime"
"Ya sure."
¤
I couldn't get my mind off that picture. Why was it with him? Why did he put a cross over Louis's face? Most importantly, Why the hell did Alex gave it to him?
