A few days passed and Dan was still trying to find the confidence to tell him. Night after night he continued to lock himself in his room and laid there thinking about the good things that would come from him talking about how he truly feels and the bad things that he just didn't want to think about but kept getting pulled back on the front of his mind. There was no doubt that Phil would make things awkward with Dan if he didn't feel the same since it was what he did all the time with the littlest of things.
Phil poked his head into Dan's room, "Hey, I invited PJ over for a little while if that's okay with you."
Dan looked up from his laptop, "I haven't seen him in ages."
"Neither have I and I thought he would add a little excitement into our lives since we do the same thing every day." Phil walked into the room and sat on the bed next to Dan.
"It's been a while since we've done something new." Dan was ready to bring it up. The one thing that's been killing him since the day he and Phil met.
"Yeah it would be nice to do something new." Phil said as he laid back and put his head into Dan's lap.
"Hey Phil, there's something I want to tell you." Dan looked down at the black haired boy who hadn't taken his eyes off of him.
"What is it?" He had a hopeful look in his eye.
"I've had feelings for you for a long time and I never knew how to tell you. Honestly, I still really don't but there is a little part of me that always knew how to say it but another part of me that was just scared. You are literally perfect in my eyes even though you don't think you are." Dan blushed at every word he said.
Phil was smiling like an idiot the whole time and very quickly turning a deep shade of red, "Same here Dan. Everything you just said is what I always wanted to tell you."
Dan honestly didn't know how to react. He was expecting the worst possible outcome of the situation. The one thing that he thought would happen was Phil wouldn't feel the same, make it really awkward, start ignoring him over time, end up hating him and moving out but not this. The whole time these thoughts were running through his head he had n idea that he had a very large smile with a deep pink tint to his cheeks until there was a knock at the front door.
Phil jumped up from Dan's lap and made his way very quickly to the door. Dan heard mumbling coming from the bottom of the stairs before three people came bolting up the stairs while two of them were screaming for Dan. He knew one of the voices he heard was PJ but he couldn't figure out the other. Dan slowly walked out of his room and into the lounge where the three men were sitting before realizing that PJ had brought their other friend Chris along.
"Danny boy! It's good to see you man." PJ said jumping up off the couch and making his way other to Dan to pull him into a hug.
"What's up Peej? It's been awhile." Dan gratefully hugged back while looking at the jealous look on Phils face. Dan gave him a reassuring smile which made him calm down slightly.
"Hey Dan. It's been awhile." Chris slowly walked over to him and gave him a hug.
Dan couldn't help but notice that the whole time Chris and PJ were there PJ had these moments where he would just stare at Dan. Every time Dan spoke or laughed the red tint on his cheeks would get brighter. Phil was picking up the subtle things PJ was doing and decided to sit a little closer to Dan and put a protective arm around his waist pulling him closer. (A/N put your arm around him. Get your mans.-My friend that edited this.) The look that they were given from PJ was not a happy one. Dan looked over at Phil and gave him a look causing him to pull his arm away from the younger boys waist causing Chris to wiggle his eyebrows playfully.
