"Phil will take you back to get packed. We'll meet you guys there." Phil's mom pushed the two towards the door.
"Come on Dan" Phil grabbed his hand and the two hailed a cab to go back to the apartment.
Phil's phone went off while waiting for Dan to pack. It was PJ.
PJ:Hey Phil, I just wanted to say sorry for what I did.
Phil: Oh um hey PJ. It's fine you didn't know and I can't blame you for that. I actually didn't think anything was going to happen and we would end up just staying friends.
PJ: Alright.
Dan walked out of his room and looked at Phil who was sitting on the couch staring blankly at his phone. He waved his hand in front of his face getting his attention and the two made their way back to the airport. The only thing that ran through Phil's head was why PJ decided to apologize. He kept thinking that PJ had something in mind to rip the two apart.
PJ was a mess for a few hours after being rejected. He stayed in bed the whole time. All while this was going on Chris was sitting outside the locked door with his back against the door listening to the silent sobs coming from his best friends room. The only thing Chris wanted to know was why PJ was so broken over Dan.

After a few hours the door Chris was leaning against opened. Chris quickly stood up and turned around to see PJ standing in the doorway with tear filled, puff eyes and tear stains on his cheek. The tears he she'd made his emerald green eyes brighter than they already are.
"Chris. I don't understand why. Why did he choose him?" PJ's voice cracked.
"I wish I could tell you Peej. There are always other fish in the sea. Don't set your heart on one single person that may or may not love you back or love you the way you want them to." Chris pulled his friend into a hug letting him soak his shirt with tears. This was the very moment that Chris knew he loved PJ.
