The next morning when Dan woke up he saw he was still in the lounge with a sleeping Phil in his arms. He didn't want to wake him so he place Phil next to him and again wrapped his arms around his waist before drifting back to sleep.
When he woke the second time Phil was gone. Dan got up and walked into the kitchen to make a cup of coffee before when he saw Phil already holding two cups in his hands. Phil's face went red when he saw Dan. Dan smile at the older man before taking the cup from his hand and taking a sip.
"Thank you Phil." Dan sat down the cup and took Phil into his arms.
"For what?" Phil stood there with his cup still in his hand confused at what was happening in their kitchen.
"For staying with me last night. I didn't think you would." Dan pulled away from Phil before kissing his head.
"Oh. You looked peaceful so I didn't want to disturb you." Phil walked out of the kitchen still with the thoughts of last night in his head.
Dan was was close behind him and sat down watching Phil grab his laptop. "I was thinking that maybe we get actually get together instead of doing this."
"What do you mean?" Phil kept his eyes locked on the screen.
"Will you be my boyfriend?" Dan sighed turning on Great British Bake Off.
"Yeah. Of course." Phil said casually leaning over giving Dan a kiss on the cheek. Dan just smiled. He actually felt happy for the first time in a long time. His thoughts were interrupted when his phone went off. It was PJ.
PJ: Hey Dan. I want to take you out today. Like on a date. What do you say be there in twenty?
Dan: Umm Peej I'm with Phil.
PJ: Oh. I didn't know that. Sorry.
Dan sighed gaining a very concerned look from Phil. "Everything okay?"
"Not really." Dan looked up from his phone.
"What happened?"
"PJ just asked me on a date with him." Phil froze. "I told him that we're together."
"Well than." Phil shook the look he had off his face. "I'll text Chris to check up on him."
Phil: Hey Chris. Check up on PJ for me please? He asked Dan on a date and he told him that we are together. Oh yeah Dan and I are together.
Chris: Well that's great for you two! I'll check up on him now and let you know.
Phil: Sweet thanks.
Phil threw his phone on the couch next to him and gave Dan a nod. Dan shooter himself over towards Phil and laid his head on his shoulder just watching what he was doing on his computer. They spent the rest of the day like that with the occasional text from Chris giving Phil updates on PJ who wasn't very happy about the whole thing. At random moments in the day Dan would lock himself in his room and Phil would sit with his back pushed against the door listening to him pace slowly back and forth talking to himself about the situation. When he was done they would go back to the couch and continue their chill day.
