lukas

as i scratched philip's back, his breathing eventually slowed down and became gentle little snores. the scratching slowly came to a stop, and i gave philip's forehead another soft kiss.

"remember to meet me in the forest," i mumbled, slowly readjusting my body as i didn't want to wake philip.

i subtly pulled philip closer to my chest, and snuggled him while closing my eyes, trying to lose myself in sudden sleep. i ended up takinn in philip's scent, and he smelled "soft." it's weird to describe, but that's how he smelled. it was like a faint bubble bath, or shampoo, mixed with something sweet. like a vague smell of ice cream lingered on him. it was truly an unusual mix, but it was a nice one. i enjoyed it.

eventually, i gave into sleep as well. i felt like i could stay up longer, but i told philip to go to the forest and that i would meet him there. it's a nice spot, i think. i was also thinking of taking him to the waterfall, and we could move from there.

i was glad my conscience began in the "right" dream. i was where i needed to be, which was the forest. as i was surrounded by skyscraper like trees, i tried searching for any signs of philip. i spotted the familiar waterfront, and walked there.

i looked out at the calm river, small waves ever so softly crashing onto the shore. my gaze was broken when i felt a rock pelt my back.

i turned around, and saw philip with another rock in hand, ready to throw. he was wearing what seemed to be his normal day attire, which consisted of a dark blue shirt, black skinny jeans, and a pair of what looked like combat boots, but i wasn't too sure since i didn't wear boots.

"lukas?" philip asked.

"that's me," i walked up to philip, smiling a bit, "you met me here."

"yeah, you told me to before i fell asleep. it's weird because i can actually control what i want to do, and i know what i'm doing," philip replied, "i don't mind though. i like being in control of my body."

"yeah, turns out, i can actually fuck with people's dreams," i stated, lightly tapping philip's nose, "i could make you have a nightmare. make you feel like you're dying and all."

"well, then it's a good thing that you won't, right?" philip asked.

"who says i won't?" i mischievously smirked, which earned me a punch to the arm.

"if you do, you bet your ass when you wake up you're going to have a migraine," philip crossed his arms.

"i'm just kidding, sweetheart! i couldn't do that to you," i squished philip's cheek.

"you better not," philip huffed, "so how can you manipulate someone's dreams?"

"i actually don't know. all i know is that i found out when i was with my dad, and we ended up sharing a dream. instead of two separate dreams, it's like one, you know? i knew i had full control of the dream when i was in some weird place with him. he was screaming at me, and i just wanted to get away from him, so i thought of flying into the sky, and it worked! i didn't know how to fly, all i know is that everything went away, i was in the sky and then started falling," i kinda explained.

"so you just think and it happens?" philip asked for confirmation.

"yes and no. what i do has to have a sole purpose," i answered, "now c'mon, i wanted to take you to a waterfall in this place."

"doesn't everything have a sole purpose?" philip asked as i took his hand in mine, and began to lead him into the sea of trees.
