Niall squeezed my hand for reassurance. "H-hey Dad! C-can we talk?"
"Of course Sweetie! What is it? Please don't say you're pregnant."
"Dad! I'm 15. I've known Niall for 3 days! I wouldn't do that!"
"And I wouldn't take advantage of her like that sir." Niall says his cheeks a bright red.
"Relax kids. I was only kidding."
"Dad, jokes aside, we need to talk."
"What is it?"
"Last night."
"Oh...hun! I overreacted. I'm sorry. I was just-"
"We both know that isn't true so cut the bullshit and tell me the truth. I'm a big girl, I can take it."
Both Niall and my Dad looked shocked. I guess Ni didn't expect me to cuss and my dad had never heard a bad word come out of my mouth. Dad cleared his throat. "Honey, I think Niall should go. It's family stuff."
Niall moved to leave but I stopped him. "No. My BOYFRIEND is important to me, so he stays."
Dad looked at Niall then at me. "Fine. I'm sure he'll hear about it even if he leaves. So, here it goes." He sighed, "I was going to propose to Gina last night. I had it all planned out. That is, until you invited Niall to dinner."
"You could've said no." I pointed out. "He would've understood."
"ANYWAY, I didn't want to disappoint you, so, I let him come. I was still going to propose, until you spilled spaghetti all over everything."
"Well, Sor-ree! I had no idea, and I'm a klutz, so sorry I ruined your perfect plan."
"No, no, don't apologize, it was what I needed."
"You better not be expecting an apology from me-wait what?"
"It was what I needed. I realized that Gina isn't the perfect woman for me. I'm gonna breakup with her. "
"Dad! I'm so so so so so so sorry! You don't have to breakup with her cause of me! Really, it's okay!
