the end of an era

I wipe the tears as the jug starts to boil. Pouring the hot water into the cups and stirring I take a deep breath and carry the three cups out holding one in each hand and the third awkwardly between the two. As I set them down I smile at will who inspected the drinks with curiosity. I smile.
"Its a hot chocolate they taste great" I say passing the cup closer to him. He picks it up and gingerly takes a sip.
"I think I remember mother making these for us as children" he murmers. I smile sadly.
"I-I... I guess she did didn't she?"  I ponder thinking back to when mother would make us hot chocolate in the winter, to help keep us warmer in the cold weather. Dipper takes his cup drinking the beverage silently. I smile
"You would have made a much nicer angel I think brother mine" I joke to break some of the tension in the room. Dipper chuckles at this while William just makes a face of utter confusion.
"Do they even exist?" He finally says I look at my hands. My mouth opening and closing as I thy to think of an answer.
"Well I would assume so if demons exist then surely angels would in order to counter the evil they have?" Dipper says more questioning himself the making a statement for the young looking boy. Will nods slowly
"That would make a lot of sense" he says quietly. I drink a large gulp of my hot chocolate before coughing slightly. I pull out my inhaler, the gesture of using it earning an odd look from will. I blink as he watches me unsure of what his expression ment I tilt my head slightly in a sort of 'is something wrong' way. He nods his head at the inhaler
"What is that for?" He asks. I look down at the small plastics contraption and my mouth opens in a silent 'o'
" Its an inhaler it helps with my asthma, when I took on my human form again my asthma returned as well and that is pretty much how I re-met dipper" I say. Will nods slowly understanding the utter nonsense I use to explain everything. Dipper smiles softly and collects the now empty cups taking them and putting them in the soak to be washed later.
"So will, are you going to be staying with us or would you like some help finding your way round on your own?" He asks, I glance at my brother waiting expectantly for his answer.
"I think I might like to stay with you if that is quite alright. I would not last on my own as I have served zalthar as a servant since he first made me a demon." He sheepishly admits I smile sadly.
"You are welcome to stay it will be extremely handy having you around I haven't a clue how to cook" I joke grinning down at him he smiles and nods
"I do hold a small amount of knowledge on cooking" he says lightly laughing. Dipper nods.
"So it's settled then we're all one happy family, oh I should warn you Mabel my sister visits often and is extremely hyperactive" dipper says flicking the tv on and surfing the channels for anything interesting.
"Would you like to watch a movie?" He asks. I shrug and look to will for an answer, he tilts his head.
"I'm not sure, what is a movie?" He asks causing ripper to chuckle.
"Its like a play on the tv?" He attempts to explain.
"Oh yes that would be lovely brother mine" will says full of formality.
"Just call me Bill ok little bro" I say giving him a quick one armed hug. Dipper pushes play on the DVD remote playing the lion king. He places a small crimson red velvet box on the coffee table.
"Bill pines?" He smirks. I grin and gingerly pick up the box.
"Or dipper cipher?" I laugh pulling an identical box from behind me. The three of us chuckle as I kiss dipper.
"I would love to, can we get Mabel to help organize, her party's were always the best" I say grinning as dipper slides the thin silver band on my finger and I return the favour with a similar one except the one I give him has a small triangle engraved onto it.
"I'm sure she would love to help" he says
I look to will.
"I can officially say I claimed this human!" I laugh as dipper roles his eyes lightly and playfully punching my arm. I lean into him a sincere smile on my lips and warmth in my heart.
This is truly my happily ever after. My love on one side a d my family on the other. This must be what pure happiness is like. I love it.
