The Song in the Sky

Chapter 6

Mizu's POV:

I was waiting for Lloyd to come back, Uta looked somewhat busy with Kai, so I just stood here.

Cole walked up to me and started a conversation.. Probably bored as well.

"Waiting for Lloyd?" Cole asked.

"Yup!" I answered.

"How's your ankle?" He looked down at my foot, checking for swelling.

"It's fine. I mean I walked all the way here!" I smiled cheerfully and wiggled my foot around.

"Good. Wait..so did you really need me to carry you?" Cole asked. Nope! Sometimes when I feel too lazy or tired I have Uta carry me. But this time we had a volunteer!

"Hey Cole, who's this?" A female voice asked from behind me. I turned around to see, quite a beautiful, girl with short black hair and ocean blue eyes.

"Oh! This is Nya! Nya this is Mizu." Cole introduced us. I smiled at her and we shook hands. I almost forgot these people where the famous ninja. They introduced themselves casually and just seemed perfectly normal. Still. Inside, I couldn't help but fangirl. Now, after meeting my favorite ninja, I have to fangirl on the outside too or there's a 60% chance that I will explode.

"Nya! Oh my god! You're even awesomer in person!! You're my favorite!" I cheered. Nya looked at me for a second then just laughed.

"Thank you! It's nice to finally meet a fan of my own.." She smiled at me. She. smiled. At me. Oh my god. No..control yourself Mizu..relax. Act normal.

"Hi I'm Jay!"

"Oh my god!" I squealed and shook Jay's hand rapidly. Just then Lloyd came out followed by a old man with a long, thick white beard, large hat, and white robes.

"Uta, Mizu, can you come with me please?" He asked us rather politely. I looked over at Uta and we both nodded. We followed the man down a semi-long hallway. We followed him down to the second to last room on the left end of the hall. He opened the door and gestured for us to enter.

It was a small room. But the shelves upon shelves of old scrolls seemed to add some kind of 'illusion' to make it seem bigger. There were four dark blue mats sitting around a small, oak wood coffee table. As I looked around I noticed a single sliding door towards the right that must lead to his sleeping quarters. The man gestured at the mats, asking us to sit down. Uta and I sat by each other on one side and the man sat in front of us on the other. Some kind of candle with sticks in it was the only thing on the table. It filled the room with a very welcoming aroma that made me feel safe and calm.

"Welcome to the Destiny's Bounty. I am Sensei Wu." So this was their Sensei. Well, Lloyd must have already told him our names but we should still introduce ourselves.

"Hi! I'm Mizu!" I smiled and waved at him. He smiled back then looked to Uta.

"Hello. I'm Uta." She nodded her head in his direction, looking to be feeling very uncomfortable.

"Well it's nice to meet you both. So my nephew tells me that you both are Elemental Masters?" He asked and pulled out a tea kettle and cups. I looked at him for a moment, wondering why and how he just so happened to have those by his side.

"Uh yeah! There was these guys who- "

"Yes, Lloyd told me all about that. But what I'm curious to know is why you have come to see me." Sensei Wu took a sip of his tea.

"Well..we just found out we have these magical power things and we were hoping you could help us understand them." I smiled and Wu nodded.

"Tea?" He asked and handed us each a cup of tea. Uta and I accepted the tea. I took a big whiff of my cup, it smelled kinda like his weird candle thing. The cup was warm and smooth. I looked at the decals along the cup. It was light blue with an even lighter blue squiggles along it. I shrugged and took a small sip of the strangely green liquid. Much to my surprise, it was very delicious. I took sip after sip then just chugged it all down. Uta still hadn't taken a single sip of the tea. I signaled for her to try it and she took a small sip. Apparently it was too hot because she held her tongue out while breathing heavily. I looked at her and giggled.

"So..you want me to train you?" Wu asked us.

"Not exactly.."

"Then what?"

"Well....ok. Yeah. Train us."

"What?!" Uta exclaimed at my side, still holding her tongue out.

"Very well. You start tomorrow. I will help you control your new found powers at dawn. For now, I suggest you get some rest. You can stay here for the time being." Sensei Wu stated then headed towards the sliding door. I stood up.

"Thank you Sensei!" I bowed gratefully and Sensei disappeared behind the door.

"What?" Uta asked, holding her tea and waving her hand around her tongue in an attempt to cool it off.

"You heard the man! You guys start training tomorrow." We turned around to see Lloyd and Kai standing there smiling.

"But just to be clear..you starting training your powers..not training to be a ninja." Kai stated.

"We know! Yay!!" I cheered. Lloyd and Kai then formally introduced us to the rest of the team and Zane showed us around the ship. Apparently we are staying in the room with Nya. After the introductions and the tour, Cole, Jay, and Zane took us back to our car to get our things. We went back to the Bounty and unpacked. We got settled pretty quickly. Then, the ninja so kindly made dinner for us too! It was so awesome! We had chicken and stuff and it was good! After dinner, it was pretty late so we all headed to bed. I was the first to fall asleep. Although today was the best day EVER, I ended up having a rather horrifying dream. It was of the black smoke that attacked Lloyd and I. I couldn't tell who or what it was..all I saw was a really mean looking face forcing it's way through the smoke. It reached its hand towards me, grabbed me, and pulled me deep into the darkness. And..then I woke up to Nya and Uta hovering over me with a bucket of water.
