Cole's POV:

My eyes fluttered open as I sat up slowly. I shook my head and had a look around. I was on the shore right in front of the forest. I looked behind me and saw the others, each of them slowly waking up on their own.

"My head.." Jay groaned and rubbed a sore spot on his head. As my vision began to clear up more, I noticed the dried blood stream down the left side of Jay's face. I looked at him shocked for a moment.

That's right..the demon.

"Jay, it seems your head was bleeding." Zane stated as he sat up and straightened his titanium arm. Jay gasped and touched around his face and head. I watched silently as his fingers came across the crusty, black tinted trail.

"Woah hey Kai!" Lloyd woke up slowly and exclaimed and pointed behind me. I turned around to see Kai laying face first in the warm sand.

"Kai!" I yelled and wobbled up to my feet. My legs felt shaky and weak, but I used whatever strength I had left to sprint over to him. Zane and Jay did the same.

I turned Kai's body over, he was still unconscious. Zane kneeled down by him and scanned Kai's body.

"He's alive. His pulse is weak but it's there." Zane assured us calmly. Jay, Lloyd, and I blew a sigh of relief. I sat down by Kai and began to take in all the bruises and scars across his skin. His right eye had a light purple circle around it, streams of dried blood came from his nose and head. His mouth was open and letting out thin breaths. I looked down at his chest then noticed the long cut down his side.

"A sword wound.." Zane stated as he looked down.

"A sword? So the demon was armed.." Lloyd whispered to himself.

"No. I have full memory of what happened. Pixel just finished re downloading the events to my main drive. The weapon used for this injury was Kai's own blade." Zane replied.

"Zane, I can barely remember anything, what happened to Kai? And where's Nya?" I asked him, feeling my heart start to beat a little faster.

"First we must bring Kai back to the Bounty. And make sure everyone else is safe." Zane replied, completely brushing over my question, sounding like he didn't want to answer.

"Zane's right. Maybe Nya is still on the Bounty!" Jay agreed with Zane and stood up. I nodded, and Zane and I picked up Kai, Zane rested Kai on my back and took a step back.

"Brothers, I have just enough strength to generate my ice dragon, please stand back." Jay and I nodded and took a few steps back. Zane created his dragon and Jay, Kai, Lloyd, and I got onto the back of it. Then off we flew above the open waters.

Uta's POV:

Mizu and I helped Nya to the infirmary and Sensei brewed some tea for her. Nya didn't seem to have many physical injuries, but she was limping and very short of breath. Sensei said she may have been hit with some kind of dark magic from the demon.

Mizu and I were sitting on the deck talking, every so often we would check on Nya, who insisted we take her to her bed and let her sleep, as we had already done. Mizu and I barely said anything, I think we were both too worried about the ninja to start a conversation.

"Where are the ninja? Why aren't they back yet?" I started asking Mizu all these questions. Mizu understood what was happening, and she went to work trying to calm me down.

"Uta, it'll be okay! Sensei Wu said there's no need to worry. They'll be back." She put her hand on my shoulder and smiled at me.

"Why should we-" I began but Mizu cut me off.
