Kiss and Tell

I spent the next few hours in bed with Dani. We ate all the snacks she brought up and watched Netflix together.  It got late at night, and I had to leave.  "Hey," she grabbed my wrist before I headed out the door, "Are you going to the winter formal?" She asked.  If I were to say yes, would she go with me?  I think about it and I see a figure come from behind her.  "Can I talk to Lydia before she leaves?" Jordan asks Dani, and she moves away and waves goodbye.  Darn it Jordan, "Why didn't you tell me you knew my sister?" He asked, which I reply, "I didn't even know you had a sister.".  He leans on the doorframe and smiles at me, "So about that real date," he starts to say and I smile, "Go to the formal with me?  I won't be boring like I was at the movies." He smiled, and I nodded yes without even thinking about Dani, who was listening from the top of the staircase; I could see her.  He kisses my cheek and I walk off.  I tried not to make eye contact with Dani, but I also wanted to know how she felt.  Maybe next time

I arrive home and called Heather.  "So?  How was it?"  She eagerly asked, so I told her... everything.  I told her about the kiss ( more of a make out really), Jordan, and the formal.  "YOU SAID YES TO JORDAN BUT NOT DANI ARE YOU STUPID!" She screamed through the phone, knowing she was already on speaker, "I couldn't say yes to Dani!" I argued, "I'm... straight.".  The line was silent.  I don't know if I was trying to convince her.. or myself.  She started laughing, "Honey I love you, so I'll let you figure yourself out on your own.. unless you want my help." She reassured, and hung up.
I know one thing for sure:  if I was Truly straight, I wouldn't be thinking of how much I enjoyed that kiss.
