FARKLE'S POV

This is the most I have ever run.

The only parking spot I could find for Lucas' car was in the very back. Forcing me to sprint.

The lady at the front desk stared at me while I was panting. "Maya Hart?" She asked. "Yea, how'd you know?"

"The only people that have come in here panting or gasping for air, were here because of Maya Hart." I felt stupid. "212. Down the hall to your right." Her voice in that moment felt as if she had it memorized.

I was wrong. Running down that hallway full of sick people and crying mothers was the fastest I had ever run. I spotted Lucas and Josh from the end of the hallway. I wanted to say something but nothing popped into my head.

I burst into the room, ignoring the hurt feeling I got when Lucas saw me running.

"Maya" She looked so excited.

"Farkle" She sighed and motioned for me to come in. It didnt matter if I had hugged Beyoncé, this was all I needed.

RILEY'S POV

I left Farkle and Maya alone, she needed him right now. As much as I wanted to know what she did to get here, I wasn't going to get it out of her.

"Josh what the actual fuck. I trusted you with my little brother! I trusted you with my best friend when she decided to play the long game, even though you broke her heart. Now without even realizing it I was trusting you and now Maya is in the hospital! Because of you!" I started to tear up and my words were sharper as I continued. Lucas hugged me, causing me to stop crying and talking. I needed to listen to Josh first.

Josh took a few steps back before he started talking. "She told me what happened between her and Lucas. She showed up at my doorstep, crying." He added emphasis to 'crying'.

"I thought she was insane, she wasn't herself. She was telling the story and rocking back and forth in a ball. You shouldn't be blaming me Riley. She may have been at my house when I called 911, but it was him who sent her here." I looked at Lucas, rage in his eyes. I put my hand on his arm hoping to calm him. Josh walked away and I turned to him.

"I always though I knew everything when it came to Maya. What did you do to her Lucas?" He looked ashamed.

"We got into a fight." He murmured. "No, really?" I added sarcastically. "About what?" I knew he was going through alot, he kept starting at Farkle and Maya through the window. Be we all were.

"I... I cant tell you." I was mad but not at Josh anymore. At Lucas. "Lucas." I stared at him with pleading eyes. When he didn't respond I pried even more "Lucas!" I was mad he wasn't talking. "We don't lie to each other, you know that because your the one who said it!" He took a deep breath. He didn't even look at me.

"I cant be with you anymore." I paused hoping he would say something, I scoffed when he didn't even flinch. I turned to find Josh, and the rest of the story, the rest of the truth.

LUCAS' POV

I know what Riley thinks, that I'm lying to her, which is true but not the point. Honestly I was confused, I was happy and stable when I was with Riley. But when I'm with Maya, I can be me, fun and outgoing. I didn't know who I liked anymore.

I watched as Maya shifted to one side letting Farkle sit next to her. Only his arm was around her shoulders and she was laying on his chest. Playing with the wires attached to her fingers.

I desperately wanted to be where he was right now. I knew he understood her and relaxed her but I just want to hold her and say everything was going to be alright. They would talk and every minute or so, then she would laugh. That smile lit up my life.

I sat down on the ground underneath the window. All this time Maya has just been my best friend. Then out of nowhere I kissed her in Texas, I messed everything up for all three of us.

RILEY'S POV

I found Josh down a mostly empty hallway sitting in a row of chairs. I sat down next to him and before I could ask anything he continued.

"She fell asleep on my shoulder, she said she was sick of arguing in her sleep. No wonder why she drifted off so quickly. It was late so I put her in my bed." I turned towards him. "I slept on the couch." I sighed with relief.

"She woke up the next morning, asking to shower and wash her clothes. I didnt want to say no, so I made her feel at home. I knew she needed to be calm, so she didn't need me telling her no. Before I knew it one day turned into two. But..." He stopped and I knew he was holing back. "Josh" I pushed.

"But then when she came out of the shower, my girlfriend had just gotten home and she already suspected I was cheating on her. I chased after her but ended up sitting on the ground my back against the wall. She walked over and tried to make me feel better. Then I kissed her."

I choked and Josh just stared at me.

"She ran to my room and slammed the door. It was about mid-day and she only came out once to get something to eat and use the bathroom." He started choking back tears. "I left for work the next morning, I got her something to eat and came home to find her passed out in the bed with a bottle of pills on the nightstand."

He looked down and I covered my mouth in shock. Pills? Maya had never been that type of person. I didn't want to cry anymore but I couldn't stop it. At least it was only a few drops. Josh shifted to put his arms around me but I moved away.

"You can't blame Lucas for this. She was at your house because of him. But from the sounds of it she was doing fine until you kissed her!" I walked away and saw and Zay and Smackle outside the room with Lucas. I ran to give them hugs.

Farkle walked back outside the room. "She wants you." Everyone looked around.

"Lucas." he clarified.
