A month ago:
We are backstage after another show, it's been a great one. I can still hear the fans chanting our names or singing along with us. I sit next to Tsuzuku resting my head lightly against his shoulder.
"That was amazing. One of the best ones we have done so far." I say looking up at him.
"Yeah and each one will be better than the next." He replies smiling down at me. He pulls out a packet of cigarettes and offers me one. I take one and thank him for it.
He lights his before handing me the lighter and I light mine. It's like we disappear in the smoke only to appear a moment later.
"Smoking kills." MiA mutters looking over at us.
"So what?" Tsuzuku replies chuckling.
"Nothing, just saying my last words to you both will be I told you so." He laughs back. I roll my eyes at him.
Meto tugs gently on MiA's sleeve as a bodyguard appears at the door. MiA nods and goes to see what the problem is. I sit up straight wondering what the cause of trouble is. Tsuzuku inhales the last of his breath of smoke before putting out his cigarette.
"I hope whatever it is doesn't delay our journey to our next concert." He says with a sigh. Meto nods in agreement as he sits at the other side of the couch.
A moment later MiA returns with bouquet of red flowers mixed with red roses.
"Who's it from?" I ask looking over at MiA as he places them down on the table in front of us. He just shrugs.
"There isn't a name, it just says "from your number one fan". He explains.
"That's unusual." Tsuzuku mutters as I put an end to the last of my cigarette too.
"I'll go and put them in water." I say getting up and taking the flowers into the small kitchen section. The flowers are rather similar to the one that Tsuzuku wears over his eye. That symbolic look that he holds, a different style than my eyepatch that I wear.
It's as I am putting the flowers into the water, I noticed the small black and yellow reptile amongst them.
"Snake?!" I yell instantly dropping the flowers to the ground as it slithers out from its hiding place.
Tsuzuku rushes to my side as he calls for someone else to deal with the problem. He pulls me out the area and safely into his arms as he leads me to where everyone else is.
I walk into the room still a bit shaken up by the unexpected incident that just occurred.
"Are you okay?" he asks still holding me close to him as we sit on the couch whilst some people deal with the situation in the kitchen. I nod smiling up at him.
"I am fine now. It was just something unexpected, that's all." I say.
"Unexpected indeed. I don't think a true fan would do that." MiA says and we all agree on that thought.
Thankfully it's soon time for us to head out there and back on the road, on our tour bus for a few days before we hit our next stop for the next concert. I am relieved to leave the place unharmed and glad that everyone else is also okay.
Though unfortunately that was the first of many more situations like this to come.
