Venom (Tsuzuku X Koichi)

Chapter 6 - The Snake Himself

The Present Day:

We are almost at the exit now, I can see the light shining through the gap in the doorway. Meto runs in front to go and open the door for us, as MiA and I carry Koichi out of this place. Meto stops near the exit, no it's like he is frozen there. I would ask what's wrong, but I can see the problem for myself. There in front of us stands the snake himself; Hitsugi.

"Get out of our way, you've caused enough trouble as it is." MiA speaks up lowering his hood that covered most of his face.

Though he just stands there as if he is deaf and did not hear a word that MiA had said.

"Your guitar playing band days are over Hitsugi. You can't stop ours." I say. I am trying to guess his intentions, his sick reasoning behind all this. My mind comes up with none. I don't have twisted mind like the man standing in front us, for me to think like him.

"H-he wanted to take my place." Koichi mutters weakly in my arms.

It's as if he had read my thoughts and answered them for me.

A bitter laugh escapes my lips. "Never!" I say. No one can take my love's place. He special and unique in so many ways, it's what makes him perfect.

"Ha... we'll see about that. No matter what happens pink haired bitch is a goner anyway." He says. It hits a nerve in me, triggers something deep down in me. Anger, rage I don't know what. I turn to Meto and hand Koichi over to him.

"Look after him for me." I whisper as I run towards Hitsugi ready to push to the ground. MiA follows my lead, two against one; it should all over in no time.

Flash lights and sirens are in the distance. Hitsugi is held to the ground by MiA as I called the police. From now it will be their job to sort out this son of bitch out. Next I call our manager and let him know what's going on. Tell him to cancel any close live concerts, we can't go live until Koichi gets better. The fans will be upset but soon the news will spread and they will understand. I guess you could say it will be a really nightmare for any Nightmare fans out there.

The police have arrived and they arrest Hitsugi whilst a bunch of other police question me and MiA. Then they leave and it's just us now. Though something isn't right with Koichi, he is getting weaker by the minute. We need to get him to hospital and fast. MiA suggests an ambulance but that would take too long.

I take Koichi in my arms thanking Meto for taking care of him while we dealt with the bad guy. Koichi lays heavy in my arms, silent but still breathing. We run to our car, MiA gets into the driver's seat as Meto and I get in the back. Soon we are speeding through the streets. I can just about see Meto's ruined glances in the darkness now. Yes it's past midnight and soon another day will come.

MiA parks outside the hospital as the car screeches to a stop. We rush inside the hospital and I explain everything that has happened to the receptionist. She calls up some doctors and within minutes they come and take Koichi away from us. Now all that is left to do is wait. Meto quietly sits down alongside MiA in the waiting room.

But I can't sit, I pace the halls back and forth until MiA tells me that he is getting dizzy from watching me.

Finally a doctor appears from another room, he approaches us to tell us what is wrong with Koichi. I just hope that it is nothing serious and that he will be okay.
