I look left,

I look right,

I look with all my might,

I see nothing in my search,

No gold have i found,

I was nearly drowned,

But i continue to look frantically around.

Where are you golden legend,

Where is the enlightening door,

That will lead me to the treasure,

Of the great El Dorado.

I need to find you,

I need to put my name,

On the legendary Chief,

Giving you, your well deserved fame.

Let me find you,

Give me a sign,

Let your gold come to me,

In the blistening daylight.

As the years pass by,

And my body is weakened more than before,

I fear i'll die without witnessing,

The great and historic, El Dorado.
