Such a sad story,
Of a who that seemed mean,
A complicated soul,
That was ever so green.
A frown is all he wore,
As he caused grief and displeasure,
To the rest of the people,
By incredible measures.
He appeared to be happy,
And quite heavily content,
With causing many troubles,
And never caring about the dents.
However, this broken who,
Was merely seeking revenge,
On a race that didn't accept him,
From the beginning - and probably til the end.
The hurt and the pain,
That he hid deep in his heart,
Was caused by the ugliness,
That the world was happy to start.
But all this one needed,
Was not a mile but an inch,
Of love and compassion,
To restart the lost heart - of the miraculous Grinch.
