I can’t describe it,
Nor can I hide it,
It’s the best place in town – with smiles all around,
Dancers – and actors – and dreams that all matter,
Yes it’s the best place in town.
With a tip and a tap,
A twirl and a plie,
The crowd starts to clap,
As we dance the stage away.
With a gasp and a yell,
And a script with many lines,
And a story to tell,
The scene is absolutely divine.
The costumes that all shine,
The talent in chorus lines,
The show tunes are just fine,
Oh yes – THIS IS THE BEST,
Yes it’s the greatest – the most famous,
It’s the best place in town,
From the suits to the ball gowns,
Oh it’s the most amazing place in town.
So we stand to applaud,
The theatrical parade,
That’s displayed in New York,
We thank you – dear Broadway.
