My Light

There once was a kingdom named Alesia who were great allies with the kingdom of Lucis and Tenebrae. The kingdom of Alesia was known for their rare jewels. In the kingdom ruled a noble king and queen who looked after their people. The king and the queen had a beautiful baby girl and thought that she seemed so bright and full of light, so they named her Aura Nua Ami. The kingdom was enthusiastic to find out that the king and queen had a child. Aura meant glowing light, and the king and queen thought that it would be perfect for their bundle of light. Little did the king and queen know that she would be in a situation that required the light inside of her.

The young princess wandered off in the palace away from her care taker. All she wanted was to take a good look around the palace. Even if she did live there, she was still curious to what lied inside the doors of some rooms. She eventually found her way to the garden and looked at the flowers. She especially liked the blue hibiscus flowers growing in the garden. She sniffed the flower smelling the sweet floral aroma of the hibiscus. "Princess Aura!" the princess heard her name being called from the palace halls. "Princess, we do not have time for this! Our guests will be arriving soon!" she heard the voice again as she hid behind the flower bushes and watched her care taker search for her. "Daisy, is something wrong?" the princess heard her mother's voice ask from the hall. The queen suddenly came into sight wearing a white slim gown with her brown hair curled. "Queen Aurelia! My apologies, your highness, but it seems as though the princess has wandered from my sight." the care taker says with a bow as a sign of respect to the queen. "It's alright, Daisy. I'm sure I know where she is." the princess' mother says and turns to the garden to spot the princess hiding behind the flower bush. "Aura, darling, come along. We have special guests arriving from the kingdom of Lucis." the queen says and the young princess comes out of the bushes with a smile and runs up to her mother.

"Mama! Look at the flowers!" the princess says pointing to the growing hibiscus.

"Yes, Aura. They look magnificent today. Now come along." the queen says grabbing the princess' hand gently and they start to walk off.

"Mama, why are there guests coming from Lucis?" the princess asks in curiosity as they walked to the front of the palace.

"Well, sweetheart, you know how we are very good friends with the royal family of Lucis. So, the king of that kingdom has declared to come to Alesia to discuss a plan with your father. But the king has brought his son along so you both would get to know each other."

Soon, the queen and princess arrived to the front of the palace to meet the king. From there, guards had opened the French doors to show a black car pull up to the palace. When the door of the car opened, a man dressed in a black suit, his black hair slicked back, and a bit of scruff on his chin came out. Then out came a little boy with raven colored hair with blue eyes. The king and queen walked up to the guests with a polite smile. "King Regis, it's a pleasure to have you here." the king of Alesia said as he firmly shook the other king's hand. "Please, Luca. The pleasure is all mine. And a hello to you as well, Aurelia." King Regis replies as he smiles at the queen. "Hello, Regis. And may I ask who this little boy is?" the queen asks as she stares at the small ravenette hiding behind King Regis' legs. "Go on, Noctis. Say hello." King Regis says to his son, but as the boy looks up at the king and queen's kind faces, he looks away shyly. "My apologies. Noctis is a bit timid around people." King Regis says as he looks at the king and queen. "We understand. Our daughter is a bit timid, but usually is very enthusiastic." the king replies as he looks at King Regis.

"That's right! You have a daughter Noctis' age." King Regis says and both the king and queen turn to their daughter who was hiding behind the pillar.

"Aura, sweetie. Come here." Queen Aurelia says.

The young prince looks to see a brown haired girl dressed in a pink ball gown-like dress hiding behind the pillar, but you could just make her out. She comes out of her hiding place, smooths out her dress and walks over to her parents with a kind smile. "Hello!" the young princess greets King Regis kindly and he smiles at her. "Hello, Aura. It's a pleasure to meet you." King Regis replies even though he's seen Aura as a baby, he's never met her as she grew. The young princess then looks at the prince hiding behind his father's legs and she smiles sweetly at him. "Hi! My name's Aura Nua Ami!" the young princess introduces herself to the prince. The prince had to admit that the princess looked stunning. She had sparkling amethyst colored eyes that captivated him and her hair was long and shined in the sunlight. "Go on, son." King Regis tells the prince, and he slowly emerges from his hiding spot and stands in front of the princess. "My name's Noctis Lucis Caelum." the prince introduces himself shyly, but the princess keeps her smile on her face. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Noctis." the princess says politely and the prince smiles at her. "Your daughter is very well mannered." King Regis says to the king and queen. "Yes, she is." the king replies as he smiles at his daughter. The prince and princess just stared at each other with smiles still on their faces. They both seemed to be staring at each other for the longest time, as though they found something within each other that ignited a spark. But they couldn't noticed since they were only six-years-old.
