While we were riding the train to Tenebrae, everyone was sitting on different seats. Akiko and Prompto were somewhere in the train talking or something, Gladio was off in somewhere, and Aileen sat with Ignis at one of the tables in the dining car. Noctis and I sat across from them with my head lying on Noctis' shoulder as he wraps an arm around me and rubs his thumb on my stomach. "Feels good to ride the rails." Ignis says and I look at him. "Sure does." Noctis says and I roll my eyes. "Speak for yourself." I mutter as I cuddle closer to Noctis feeling sick once again. "Feeling sick again, Aura?" Aileen asks me and I nod as Noctis rubs my back gently. This sickness only supports the pregnancy idea in my head. "Eager to drive once we're in Gralea?" Ignis asks Noctis. "If they'll let me." Noctis says and I scoff as I roll my eyes at him. "We're fortunate to have the Regalia at all. We owe the first secretary our thanks." Ignis says and Noctis nods. "The Audi also." Aileen says and I nod as well. "She'd get more thanks if she gave us a discount." Noctis complains and I smack his arm playfully. "Those transceivers are top notch. I recall when the Hydraean raged-- in the midst of the empire's retreat, one conspicuous craft remained behind: the chancellors." Ignis says and I furrow my brows as I remember what had happened that day. He stabbed me just for the prophecy not to come true, but in the process, Luna sacrificed herself to save me. I'll forever be in her debt.
"The last thing I remember seeing was his ship, heading for the altar." Ignis says and I felt Noctis' grip on my waist tighten a bit, knowing he wanted revenge for what the chancellor had done to me. "I fell unconscious... and was powerless to stop him."
"Ignis, none of that was your fault." I say to him as I sit up and put a hand on his as a friendly gesture.
"Aura's right. Plus, I'm just glad you're alive." Noctis says.
The door to the car suddenly opens and closes, and I see Gladio walk over to us, "Is someone there?" Ignis asks. "Gladio... he just came back. Where did he go anyway?" Noctis asks. "On a brief reconnaissance. Something caught my ear." Ignis says and Gladio was now standing in front of us. "Hey, captain, mission complete." Gladio tells Ignis to which Ignis nods. "So what "caught your ear?" Noctis asks Ignis. "Rumors of longer nights." Aileen responds for Ignis. "They've been growing longer day by day." Gladio says to us. "There was talk of it back in Lucis, but recent days have shown an unreasonably sharp change." Ignis explains. "Should this trend continue, before long..." Aileen starts to say and I interrupt her. "There won't be any daylight." I say as I look down. "Well, it's not out of the question. The empire's already slain half of the Six. No wonder the whole world's in disarray." Gladio says and I look over to Noctis. "I... guess." he says with no tone in his voice. "And longer nights mean more demons." Ignis says and I nod knowing it was true. "Seen that with our own eyes." Gladio says.
"I happened to overhear a fellow passenger discussing this very same phenomenon." Ignis says.
"So he sent yours truly to seek 'em out." Gladio says.
"Nice police work." Noctis compliments Gladio.
"Well, don't wanna keep 'em waiting."
"No, we don't. Back in a moment." Ignis tells us.
"Sure." Noctis says
"I'll go with you too." Aileen says and she looks at me. "If it's alright with you?"
"It's fine." I tell her and she smiles as she nods, then leaves with Ignis and Gladio.
I start feeling a bit better and look over to Noctis, "Maybe when we get to Tenebrae, we should actually go to a doctor and see if I am pregnant." I tell him. "Too risky. They might say something about it if you are pregnant and that'll give the empire a motivation to kill you even more." Noctis says. "Ok. I'll just buy a test myself." I say with a shrug and he nods. We look out the window to see the sky change and behave differently. Suddenly, Prompto and Akiko run in and stop as they see us. "Whoa! There you are, buddy! Did you see this? It's unreal!" Prompto says, but I feel like something was wrong with this. "Yeah! Never seen anything like it. Doesn't make any sense!" Noctis says and Prompto runs to the other side of the car. I look at Noctis seeing him stiffen up and I look at him oddly. "Noct?" I call him, but he doesn't answer and stands up as he unwraps his arms from me. "What's going on?" Noctis asks and I look around. "It's a real mystery." Prompto says and I see Noctis glare at Prompto. "I'm not liking that snow cloud. Kind of gives me the chills. Like, who comes up with this stuff? I couldn't dream something like this if I tried. It's a wondrous world." Prompto says as he looks at Noctis. Noctis stomps over to and tries to slug Prompto, but Prompto dodges. "The hell are you doing here?!" Noctis asks him angrily. "Whoa, what's going on!?" Prompto asks as he backs up and Akiko stands behind him as everyone looks at the two men. "Easy there, buddy. Didn't see that coming." Prompto tries to calm him down.
