I wake up in the room coverd in the sheets, probably from Aileen checking in on me, and I walk out to meet the girls. When I walk into the living room, I only see Akiko sitting on the couch and I sit on the chair. "Where'd Aileen go?" I ask her and she just shrugs. "She just said something about checking the morning paper." she says and I nod. Suddenly, the door opens and I look to see Aileen walk in looking pale. "Aileen, what is it?" I ask her wanting to know why she looked like that. She shows the paper and I Akiko and I look at it closely to see that the headline read 'Insomnia Falls'. "Aileen, tell me this isn't right." I say to her, but she stays silent, telling me that this was the truth. "The paper states that there was an attack. The Imperial army's taken down the Crown City. Listen to this. 'As treaty room tempers flared, blasts lit the night sky. When the smoke about the Cidatel had cleared, the king was found...dead.'" Akiko says. I feel the tears start to form in my eyes, but then remembered the person who would hurt this the most. "Oh my, God! Noctis!" I say shocked and I dash out of the room. "Aura!" I hear Akiko yell after me but I dashed out quickly.

I stop in front of the room and bang on it in a panicked state. The door opens and I see Ignis standing in front of me. "Aura!" he says surprised to see me. "Is he alright?" I ask him and he looks at me with confusion. "I saw the paper this morning. Is he alright?" I ask again and he looks behind him. I look over his shoulder to see Noctis sitting on the chair. "I don't think he is, Aurie." Prompto says and I frown as he makes eye contact with me. He suddenly stands up and walks over to the door. I back away slightly when he walks out and shuts the door behind him. "Noctis, I'm sorry about your dad. If I could do something about it I woul--" he cuts me off by smacking his lips on mine and I widen my eyes, but soon they close and I melt again. He pulls away and I look at him in slight surprise and in delight. "What was that for?" I ask him as he presses his forehead on mine.

"To shut you up." he says as his arms wrap around me. "And because I'm going back to Insomnia."

I widen my eyes as I look at him, "Noctis, you can't. I won't let you." I say to him as I furrow my brows. "You have your mission to protect Luna. I just wanna see this for myself." he says to me and I shake my head. "Damn that! Your safety is all that matters to me. If you go back there, there might be a chance that you will die. I don't want that." I say to him and his hand caresses my cheek and he wipes a stray tear that had rolled down. I didn't even notice that I started to cry at all, but I know why I am. "As much as I love hearing you say that, I have to go back. You're safety matters to me, too. And I know you'll be safe with Luna in Altissia." he says to me as he brushes my bangs back. "You're the only one I've ever wanted, Aura. So if I die there, at least my last thought will be of you. Take the boat to Altissia. I'll try to stay alive for you." he says and he kisses my cheek then walks away. I suddenly see Prompto, Ignis, and Gladio pass by me and Prompto gives me a sincere look. "I'll make sure he's safe." he tells me and I give him a small smile. He then walks away and I just watch Noctis walk away like yesterday. "Aura." I hear Aileen say and I turn to see the girls. "He's going back to Insomnia." I say as I look at the ground as I feel tears at the brim of my eyes again. "You're not gonna let him go, are you?" Akiko asks worriedly, but I know she was mostly worried for Prompto. "Aura, we also have a mission to fulfill." Aileen says to me.

I thought deeply about this, on one hand, I want Noctis to be safe and I want to help him, but on the other, I have to protect Luna in Altissia. "We're going to Insomnia." I say looking up at the girls and they nod. We check out of the hotel, and we quickly get in the car and drive to Insomnia. "Do you think the citizens over there are ok?" Akiko asks as I look out of the window to see raindrops hit the window. "Who knows. We won't know ourselves till we get there." Aileen says and I know she was right. I could hear Noctis yell at me for missing the boat, but I just couldn't let him go, plus, Akiko would complain on the boat on how we just left them, but most importantly, Prompto. I looked up at the sky seeing the gray clouds as rain fell. It was a gloomy day and it seemed to match the mood. I turn to the front to see the boys car just ahead of us. They probably noticed us already, so I was all the more prepared to get yelled at. I suddenly see Nifilheim ships flying over us and I just clench my hands into fists at the sight. "Is it just me, or are those things massive?" Akiko asks as we stare at the ship. "They're Imperial dreadnoughts. They transport soldiers... namely the magitek infantry." Aileen says to us and I look at her. "The android-like things?" I ask her. "Mass produced humanoid weapons of warefare, actually." she says and I look back at the ships. "This peace treaty just went down hill." Akiko says and I nod in agreement. "I just wanna kick their asses right now." I say as I lean back on my seat.
