*Aura's POV*

I was driving along with the radio on and the windows down. "Aurie, why can't we put the top down?" Akiko complains and I roll my eyes. "'Cause I don't want to a get sun burn." I say to her, but she just groans. "Aura, just put the top down. You know she won't stop till you do." Aileen says and I sigh in defeat. "Alright." I say and I push the button to put the top down. Once the sun hits my eyes, I put my sunglasses on and just drive along the road as the wind blows through my long brown hair. "Ah... This is better. Fresh air." Akiko says and I chuckle. Suddenly, I see a black car being pushed by three men. One with tattoos all over his arms, one with blonde hair, and the other with raven hair as the bespectacled man sits in the drivers seat. "Is that the prince?" Akiko asks and I widen my eyes and bite my lip as I see him pushing the car. "Aura, stop the car we gotta help them." Aileen says and as much as I'd like to keep driving, I know it's not right to leave them. "Peachy. This is just who I wanted to see." I say sarcastically as I slow the car down. "Ahem." Akiko clears her throat as she looks at the men and they turn to see us. "Need a little help boys?" Akiko asks as we slowly drive beside the car. "Uh... Got any gas?" the blonde asks as he stares at the three of us. "Wanna stop pushing the car so I can grab the gas container in the trunk?" I ask in an accent so Noctis wouldn't recognize me. They stop pushing the car and I get out of the car and grab the gas container. "Here you are. Hopefully that'll be enough to get you to Hammerhead." I say handing it to Noctis who looks at me with squinted eyes trying to make me out.

"Well, we gotta go now." I say awkwardly as Noctis and I stared at each other too long, and walk back to the drives seat.

"Wait, why don't you come with us to Hammerhead?" the blonde asks.

"Prompto!" the tattooed man yells at the blonde who was named Prompto.

"Yeah, that'd be cool." Akiko says and I turn to glare at her.

"Great! Then it's settled! Let's hit the road!" Prompto says and I sigh deeply.

Noctis, Prompto, and the tattooed man get in the car with the bespectacled man. "Remind me to kill you, Akiko." I say to her and she just smirks as I drive behind their car. "I thought you'd want to spend at least a few minutes with your Prince Charming, Aura." she says and I roll my eyes. "Why don't you just tell Prince Noctis how you feel, Aurie?" Aileen asks me and I sigh. "You know I can't. He doesn't even like me. Plus, I haven't even talked to him in, like, 8 years. I don't think he even remembers me. And now that he's marrying Luna, I can't even tell him now. Let's just let it go." I say to them and turn the radio on. As I drove, I couldn't help but think of Noctis and what he might be thinking at this moment. He almost figured out that it was me back there. "Earth to Aura! You there!" I hear Aileen call me and I snap out of my thoughts and look at her. "What is it?" I ask her as I stop thinking about Noctis now. "I've been calling you at least ten times. Are you ok?" she asks me and I nod. "Aura, I think that we should switch when we get to the workshop in Hammerhead." Aileen says to me. "I think that's a good idea." I say and we suddenly pull up to the workshop in Hammerhead. I get out of the car and just watch Noctis and the guys talk to Cindy, who is actually a friend of mine. "I'm gonna grab some supplies from the little shop." I say to Aileen and she nods.

I walk into the store and grab some snacks and water for the road and a first aid kit. Once I payed for the stuff, I turn to head out, but I suddenly see Noctis in front of me. Luckily, I still had my glasses on, but he just looked at me. "Aura?" he asks and at the mention of my name I feel the heat rise to my cheeks. He then removes the sunglasses and looks into my amethyst colored eyes. "How'd you know?" I ask as I look up into his blue eyes. "The necklace. I gave that to you when we were twelve." he says and I look down at the amethyst gem hanging from the gold chain. This was the last time we had seen each other, and the time he made me that promise. "I can't believe you kept it all this time." he says looking at the gem. "Of course I kept it. That's how special it means to me." I say as I look into his blue eyes. I found myself enticed by his blue eyes and feel his hand grab mine, but that snapped me out of my trance and I moved a piece of hair behind my ear. "I better go find Akiko and Aileen. And congratulations on the engagement with Luna." I say with a tight smile and start to walk out. I feel Noctis grab my arm and I turn to face him. "How'd you know that?" he asks me and I sigh. "Noctis, I'm a princess. Word goes around fast. Plus, I should've known that, that promise you made me 8 years ago wouldn't last. I just hoped it would." I say to him. "Aura, I meant that promise 8 years ago, and I still mean it today." he says to me and I just shake my head.
