My eyes turned to saucers and my jaw hit the floor. She saw my room SHE SAW MY ROOM OH MY GOD SHE SAW MY ROOM! Compared to my reaction, Skylar was handling the situation quite well, if you counted flat out staring with a ghostly expression well.
On the other hand, I was freaking out, then my instinct kicked in and I was back in stutter town, good old instinct. "Uh, a-are you o-okay? Y-you loo-k like s-someone walked o-over your g-grave" I stuttered. "What is that? Where did you go? What is behind that wall?" Skylar's brain was working overtime, trying to fill in the blanks, I could see it. But there were no blanks, it was a secret room, that's all.
Suddenly she stood up straight and blocked me out, so I could no longer read her expression, and with a gust of air, we were in the park! That was a full four miles away from school in two seconds flat and I hadn't even blinked!
Now it was my turn to stare at her. Finally some words came to use. "What? How? Did you- What just happened?" I vocalised. Then she smiled at me and twin ivory-coloured fangs came into focus. "Y-you're a vam- You're a vampire?" I breathed, and then everything went blank.

Skylar's pov
He had taken that knowledge quite well. I thought. Most mortals would have screamed until they coughed up their vocal chords or run away screaming bloody murder. But this one, Ryan, he just looked at me, and passed out. Not too bad. But I guess passing out is when you are in shock or your vitals need attention or something, I'm not a healer so I don't need to know all that fluff, I'm a cousin to the royals themselves. I had always taken my rank seriously, watching my younger cousins and keeping them safe and most importantly, I made them like me. If princess Gwendolyn didn't like me, and if prince Zane found me dislikable, I would be in for trouble. The only reason why I'm still here is because King Theodore permitted it. If I hadn't proven a useful babysitter to his and Rosalie's children, I would be off on the street, but I had always been their perfect daughter that they never had.
They had tried to buy me once, but my father Hunter and my mother Jayla wouldn't have it, and they would have given their live to keep me. My family and friends were all trustworthy and they had some special qualities that made them useful. My father, Hunter, had earned his name, changing it from Nautilus by killing the werewolf general, deeming himself the top hunter in the vampire kingdom.
Mother, Jayla, was sweet and she could sing like a songbird, always graceful and perfect, everyone loved her. And she took an advantage over that love. She never had to deal with arguments, because people always took her side.
My best friend, Julia, was very gentle and submissive, but if she had a job, she would flatten mountains to get it done. And she was as loyal as they came.
My brother Connor, had an uncanny ability to sense when one of us was in need of his help, it was like telepathy, he was very comforting and he always had girls trying to catch his eye, but he was only looking for his mate. He had no time for false love.
My younger brother Colt, was a sly fox, it was like Thor and Loki, but Connor was more heroic and Colt was not a traitor, he would infiltrate our enemies and have them throwing their trust at him in seconds, he was a wizard, but they both always had time to spend with me.
And then, my other best friend, Sora. Ryan had already met her. He had known her for a few years now. But not as the Sora I knew. She was undercover, always wanting to protect me, we met in the VMortal club, where teen vamps were sent to mortal schools for peaceful purposes. Sora had not yet found her mate, but I know that a certain guard named Cyrus had his eye on her- all the time- but I had promised not to tell her.
Ryan stirred, making me jump, Ii had not expected him to come to wakefulness so early, but again, I am not a healer. I sat next to him on the nursing bed, enjoying the gentle shocks that I felt pass through my fingers every time he exhaled.
