Chapter 2 Rewritten

Adrian's POV

I was running border patrol today as my first day as official alpha of Luna Eclipse Pack. Allow me to introduce myself properly. My name is Adrian Montague and I am 21 years old. I have two loving parents named Marya and Kyle Montague, they are soulmates. I also have a little brother and sister who are twins. Their names are Lily and Luca, they are six years old. I have not found my mate (aka soulmate) yet. I was suppose to find her after I turned eighteen a little over three years ago. But no luck so far.

So back to the main story I was out on border patrol and was thinking of expanding my packs territory. My Beta Cole and Gamma Will were with me. However I am faster then them and was ahead of them when I smelt an amazing scent. Not knowing it was a trap I follow it. I reach a clearing to see the most beautiful little wolf asleep in the sunlight.

However, I step on a twig snapping it. Which wakes her up from her light slumber. Her amber eyes lock with my grey ones as she stands up slowly. As she looks me over I do the same with her to discover she is small. Probably a runt, but I don't care I love my little mate already. My wolf Paul told me to go to her. So I crouch down only for her to growl at me. Her growl was answered by the ones of Cole and Will's wolves as they step forward.

'Don't harm her, she is my mate' I tell them through the pack mind link. For some reason it didn't anger me as much as I thought it would. When I turn my attention back to where my mate was I see her running away from us. I race after her with the other two on my heels pushing aside my earlier thought. 'Don't let her leave the territory, but don't harm her' I instruct the other two.

'Yes alpha' they reply as we continue to chase her. I don't understand why my mate is running from me, doesn't she feel the pull. Maybe she wasn't eighteen yet, I hope she's at least seventeen I think as she crossed our boundary line.

(Clearing) Unknown's POV

"The plan is in motion, lets return to the clan" I tell my assistant. She nods her had and we teleport back. To tell out master the good news.

(Edge of Luna Eclipse pack territory) Adrian's POV

'You two stay at the boundary line, I'm going after her' I tell Will and Cole. They agree and stopped as I passed the border running faster to catch my little mate. Just as I was about to grab her though, she jumped over a fence and landed in a mine field. I skidded to a stop and watched her navigate the field with ease dodging the mines gracefully. Paul just paced around in my head confused and I make a mental note to talk to him later.

But I was going to go after her, I know we have a map of the mine field back in my dad's office. I'll go get it and make a plan to get my mate back. Then I remember that there was suppose to be some people living on the other side of the mine field. My dad has the guys number, I'll talk to my dad to get more information on these people. Maybe they could help me find my little mate.

So I went back to my pack's territory and was met by Cole & Will. 'She crossed a mine field unharmed, I need the map for it and need to see my father immediately' I tell them. After they bowed their heads we ran back to the pack house where my office is. We changed back into our human forms and put our clothes back on.

I sent mind link to my father telling him to come to his old office as I lead the other two that way. When we arrived my father was already there waiting for us. "Hello son, how may I help you today?" he asks me as we enter the office.

"I saw my mate, except she must not be eighteen yet or doesn't know what a mate is. She ran from the territory and through am old mine field. Didn't you tell me an old hunter lives on the other side?" I explain then ask him. While Cole and Will found the map of the old mine field I wanted.

"Yes, but he is a very dangerous man and hates supernaturals like us intruding on his families land. I know he has a wife and two kids. I don't know anything else about him really, but I have his current home phone number. I call it, if someone from our pack has to cross his property to deliver a message to another pack" my father explains.

"Here you go Adrian a map of the old mine field" Cole announces placing it on the clear desk.

"I'm surprised she got through unharmed there are mines everywhere. She must have crossed the mine field before regularly to be able to dodge them all while running" Will says in awe. I nod my head in agreement as I looked at the map myself. Memorizing it.

"I spoke to the hunter a few moons ago he told me his children sometimes cross the mine field. But they never entered the forest. Also that they were moving after their daughter's eighteenth birthday" father tells us.

"Is it possible my mate is his daughter?" I ask him hopeful.

"I doubt it son, he hates supernaturals as I told you before. Besides if he had a werewolf daughter our pack would have smelt her whenever they crossed his land" he replies.

"Unless they found a way of hiding her scent" Cole states.

"It is possible" my father says still unsure of how to take the news. "I'll call him and say you'll be passing his territory in search of your mate" he suggests.

"No, I don't want to give them a chance to hide her scent again. I'll go there tomorrow and bring her home here, where she belongs" I tell him.

"That would be unwise, even though he is retired. The hunter is still a dangerous man to anger as he still has his silver weapons. Not to mention he is respected highly among the hunter society and could start a new war if angered" father tells me.

"I have to Dad, she's my mate and I have waited to long for her. To just slip away" I tell him. He sighs, but agrees anyway and leaves his old office. Saying he'd write me a note for tomorrow encase I saw the hunter. I spent the rest of the day planning and looking over a few maps.

(Hidden place) Unknown's POV

"Well?" master asks as we kneel before him.

"It is done master, the alpha believe she is his mate and won't stop until his claimed her. Then her true mate will wage war on the mutts. We'll be rich again and there'll be no hybrids to threaten us" I tell him.

"Excellent, I look forward to seeing your plan succeed. But know if it doesn't it's your head" he reminds me.

"Yes, my master" I say.

"Have your assistant go check on the vampires new pet. I expect her in perfect health when we offer her to the vampire king" he tells me. I nod to my assistant and she leaves quickly. "Now leave me in peace" he instructs and I return to my private sleeping chambers to rest.
