Chapter 8

Grace's POV

"I still can't believe I'm working with a wolf and a runt at that" Nava grumbles.

"Oh shut it, I can hold my own against Quinten and he's trained me since I was ten" I tell him. "I smell the ocean" I state.

"Then we're close" he states. "But the master has it hidden by a spell, we need a witch or wizard to break it" he says. I stop and glare at him.

"And you only mention this now" I snap.

"Hey, I forgot. So sue me" he tells me leaning against a tree. He then stiffens and straightens up. "We're not alone" he states before disappearing.

"Great, just great" I grumble. I hear a girl squeal as she's pushed out of a tree. She hovers above the ground before landing on her feet. "A witch, just what we need" I say smiling. "I'm Grace, that idiot who pushed you out of the  tree is Nava" I say pointing to him. "And you are?" I ask.

"Assistant" she states.

"She meant your name" Nava tells her.

"Willamina, but please call my Will" she says. "Why are you here?" she asks us confused.

"To stop as war and free a teenage human girl" I tell her. "Can you help us, please?" I ask her.

"No, mistress and master would be furious" she says shaking her head.

"Look, I can tell you're very powerful Will. If you help us, you can free from their rule and take your rightful place as head witch priest" Nava tells her.

"How did you know?" she asks him shocked.

"Lets just say I'm older then a I look love" he says smirking.

"Great you're mates, so will you help us and reclaim your rightful title? My mother can help you" I tell her.

"Come" Will says beckoning us to follow her and we do so to a cliff. "Now you see" she states waving her hand and a fortress appears in the ocean. "I help you and you help me" she tells us.

"That's the deal" I tell her.

"Then we'll need a plan, the girl you seek is in the dungeon under heavy guard. But they are my friends and have waited for to take my rightful place. Still the Master and his witch Ruby are no push overs. Together they're an unstoppable force" she explains.

"Then we'll need help" Nava states.

"Call the packs, covens and my family. My mother will take car of Ruby, but you alone must defeat the Master" I tell Will. "While you all attack, Nava and I can free the girl" I state smiling.

"I can get them here, just give me your armies location" she tells Nava. He does so and she closes her eyes. Five minutes later we start to hear many footsteps approaching us.

(Pack house)

"Don't worry son, I am sure she'll choose you" Marya tells Adrian smiling.

"Your mother's right" Kyle lies. Just then they both disappear into thin air along with half of the warriors from the pack. Marya calls an emergency pack meeting.

(Vampire army)

"Soon Quinten will join us and we can end the werewolf species" the colonel states. The army cheers and suddenly they appear in a forest. "Do not panic, I smell a wolf. Lets go hunting" she says smirking. They then follow the wolf scent.

(Logan household)

"Quinten the army called again" Sarah says and he sighs annoyed.

"I don't want to hurt werewolves, my beloved is one. I need to end this before it gets out of hand" he states. As John enters the room and they suddenly appear in the forest. John with his shot gun and sword.

"Sarah why did you bring us here?" John asks her.

"I did not, I sense the hand of another. Come I'll lead the way" she tells the pair. Before leading them deeper into the forest to the strong magical force she senses.

(Adrian and wolf warriors)

"Everyone calm down, I'm sure there's a perfectly good reason we're here" Kyle tells the warriors.

"Dad, I smell Grace" Adrian announces smiling.

"Luna?" a warrior asks and he nods his head.

"Then lead the way son" Kyle tells him smiling. Adrian takes off following Grace's scent. While at the same time smelling a stronger scent.

(Pack house)

"Please relax my children" Aniu says appearing before the pack and they all bow to her. "Your alpha and warriors are about to face a great threat. That threatens your kind, but do not fear for he will return with your future Luna" she states before disappearing.

"You heard her, my son and his Luna will return. But no doubt there'll be wounded. So lets prepare to treat them, remaining warriors be on 24/7 patrol until they return. Alert us the second they appear" Marya instructs and the pack gets to work.

(Cliff side) Grace's POV

"Grace!" Quinten shouts and flints to me. He wraps me in his arms and spins me around. "Don't ever leave me again" he says looking into my eyes.

"I won't" I assure him.

Just then an army of vampires appear hissing at me. "Stand down" he orders. "I've had enough of this nonsense. Grace is my beloved and I will not allow you to harm her. Or her kind without cause" he tells them and bow to him. Mum and dad appear. I give them both a big hug and mum goes to speak with Will.

Finally Adrian arrived with his warriors and father. "Grace" he says with a relieved smile and growls at Quinten. The vampires hiss at him and the warriors snarl at them.

"Enough!" I shout stepping between them. "I had you brought here to stop a war, not start one" I snap.

"What do you mean Grace?" Adrian asks confused.

"Does this have something to do with the spell on my son's mind?" Kyle asks and I look at him shocked.

"Yes, it does" Will states stepping forward. "I am Willamina of Atlantic with clan and rightful priest. A man called the master has been plotting to start a war between your species. So that magic can rein supreme once again, but I do not want that. He's right hand Ruby is a witch and has placed a spell on Adrian's mind. To make him believe Grace is his mate, only a kiss from his true mate can break it. The master has her held hostage in that fortress" she explains.

"But your scent, looks, and personality all attract me" Adrian says confused holding his head.

"I know Adrian, but we can break the spell. We only have until my birthday, and we all must work together. Will has the guard on her side, you have the warriors and Quinten has the speed. The pack, guard and army distract the enemy. Mum takes on Ruby and Will the master. Meanwhile Nava and I will free your true mate" I explain.

"Not a bad plan, but we need to coordinate. Also the hunter society can help too" dad states.

"I'm going with you" Quinten and Adrian announce.

"You're my beloved, I won't let you go in there alone. Even with Nava" Quinten states.

"If she is really my mate, I want to break this spell as quick as possible. I have to protect her" Adrian states.

"That's fine, but lets plan" Will states. So Quinten, dad, Adrian, Nava, the vampire colonel, mum, Will and I go plan. While leaving the others to get to know each other with orders not to kill or hurt each other. But they're allowed to train together.

(Inside fortress)

"Master, I can no longer see the future and I cannot find the assistant anywhere" the witch states.

"Not good, put the guard on high alert and call you knights" the master tells her. She bows and goes to do so.
