Rogue Runt

Chapter 9

Grace's POV

The other four and I wait for the signal. Which was the others attacking and causing a big enough distraction for us to sneak in. "So what's the plan?" Quinton asks me.

"We all go in and if we run into anyone you and Nava will deal with them. But if it's the master, Will will face him. While Adrian and I go find the human girl" I state.

"I don't want you alone with him" he tells me.

"I'll be fine" I assure him. Suddenly we hear the attack start. "Lets go" I tell them and Will opens a portal. We go through it and enter an empty corridor.

"She's this way" she tells us pointing to the right. We follow her and reach a door way. She opens it and Adrian stiffens taking a deep breath.

"I smell her" he states and takes off down the stairs. We all shout at him to wait and race after him. We reach the bottom of the stairs and see him standing in front of twenty men. Along with someone else.

"That's the master" Will states as she powers up.

"Go after the girl" Nava tells us.

"Yeah we got this" Quinton says as he removes his shirt. To give him more maneuverability.

"You could of finally killed the wolves, yet you choose one of them over your own kind. And a runt at that" the master sneers.

"I'll never start a war, that would endanger the lives of everyone I care about" Quinton snaps.

"If you don't stop this now, the girl dies" the master states and Adrian growls loudly.

"You won't touch her" he snarls.

"I haven't, but she has vampire venom in her system. It won't be long now until she dies or completes transition" the master says smirking. We hear a blood curdling scream from behind. "I'm betting she dies" he states. Adrian lets out a thunderous roar and goes to shift.

"Stop" I tell him. "We can save her, but only if we work together" I state. "Quinton we'll need you" I tell him.

"On it, think you can handle this lot alone?" he asks Nava.

"Piece of cake" Nava tells him.

"Go now, I've made a barrier to prevent them from following you" Will tells us. We thank her and charge. The master's minions try to stop us. But we kill anyone who gets in our way and leap over the last row. They turn to follow us and hit an invisible wall.

"Don't go easy one them" I tell them.

"We won't" Nava states.

"Good luck" Will says and we left them. Adrian leading the way. We soon reach a locked door. Together Adrian and Quinton knock it down. In the middle of the room is a girl writhing in pain.

Adrian rushed to her side and held her in his arms trying to sooth her. "We have to act fast" Quinton states and goes to kneel beside them. Adrian growls and snaps at him.

"Stay away leech" he snarls.

"I'm trying to help her you idiot!" Quinton snaps.

"Stop, this fighting isn't good for her" I tel them. "Adrian only a vampire can suck the venom out, let Quinton help her" I tell him.

"It's because of him she's like this" he growls.

"No it's not, it's the master's fault. He tried to stop a war. He never thought werewolves and vampires would team up. Never thought witches and hunters would stand with them. Together you can save her" I tell him as I kneel beside him. "While Quinton sucks the venom out, you have to keep her calm. You're the only one who will be able to reassure her" I state.

"I just want to help man" Quinton tells him.

"Fine, do it. But if you are lying, you're dead" Adrian tells him. Quinton nods his head and kneels beside me. He leans in and stops.

"What if I can't stop?" he asks me scared. "I've never drunk human blood before, I could go into a frenzy" he states.

"Don't worry, that's why I'm here" I assure him. "I'll keep you centered" I assure him as I hold his hand. He squeezes taking a deep breath. Before latching onto the girl's wrist and starts to suck the venom out.

Soon I notice all the venom is out of her. "She's clean, stop" Adrian tells Quinton. Who doesn't.

"God damn it" I say and try to think of a way to distract. Then remember I'm his beloved. He'll crave my blood more then anyone else's. I back away from Adrian and his human mate. Then elongate my fangs and bite into my wrist.

As soon as Quinton smelt my blood he let go of the girl looking at me with hungry eyes. "I trust you Quinton, it's ok" I say offering him my blooding wrist. He flints over and bites into it. I bite my lip to keep myself from screaming. He wraps an arm around me as I start to feel weak.

"Quinton you're killing her!" Adrian snaps while he holds his true mate.

"It's ok Adrian, I trust him" I tell him. Quinton lets go of my wrist and bites my neck claiming me. I close my eyes as I start to lose consciousness. I feel him retract his fangs.

"No Grace!" he cries and I soon feel him kissing me. I feel him open my mouth and taste blood. I open my eyes wind and try to push him away. But her holds me tighter as the his blood goes down my throat. Of course, vampire blood has healing powers I remember and kiss back. Before my world goes dark.
