Chapter 6 Rewritten

Grace's POV

I woke up early as usual and make my way to the kitchen after remembering where I am. When I reach the kitchen I see Quinten sitting at the table and Lily looking at him with Luke. 'Quinten I think you have admirers' I tell him through the family mind link. Mum had made the link so that we can always be in contact.

'Yes I know, they are more annoying then you used to be' he grumbles making me giggle.

"Do you two want pancakes?" I ask the two children and they nod their heads chanting pancakes. "You heard them Quinten, we want pancakes" I tell my brother smirking. He maybe a vampire, but next to mum he is the best cook in the family.

He gets out the ingredients while the two children sit at the table. "What do you usually have with pancakes?" I ask them.

"Maple/chocolate syrup/sauce" they say and I laugh.

"What drink?" I ask.

"Milk or apple juice" Lily replies. So I get out their and my pancake toppings. As will as getting a a cup of milk each for them. While I got a glass of water for myself. Quinten starts making the first pancakes. Not long before he gives the kids one each and me three.

"How come she gets three and we get one?" Luke asks him pouting.

"When you finish your pancake I'll make you another one" Quinten assures him. So Luke puts the maple syrup on his pancake, while Lily puts chocolate sauce on hers. I do my toppings and start to eat my three pancakes.

"Done!" the two kids shout making Quinten chuckle as he takes their plates. Making them both another pancake as their parents appear. "Thanks Quinten" they tell him and start to eat the pancakes as Adrian enters the room.

"Delicious as always brother" I tell him as I wash my plate.

"Quinten cooking again?" mum asks as she enters the room with dad.

"Yep and I think he's making two new friends" I tell her looking at the two children and she giggles.

"He always did have a soft spot for pups" Dad states chuckling as Quinten glares at him.

"So what's on the agenda today?" I ask Adrian while he ate his cereal.

"I thought I could give you a tour of the territory and then have a pack BBQ in the afternoon. That way you can meet the pack" he tells me.

"Sounds great" I tell him smiling. 'Will you be ok on your own with mum and dad?' I ask Quinten who nods his head. "So when are we leaving?" I ask Adrian.

"An hour" he states and I nod my head. I go back to my room and have a shower. I have my own bathroom, isn't that awesome. Once I was done I changed into a pair of jeans and a red shirt Quinten got me.

(One hour later)

I was behind a tree undressing hiding my clothes before shifting. Then I meet Adrian in his wolf form and he nuzzles into my neck fondly. But I take off running into the woods. He follows with a happy yip and takes the lead. But with a vampire for a brother I am very fast.

Quinten's POV

I watched my sister leave with that mutt and hiss angrily. "Quinten, I know how you feel about her. But he is her mate" mum tells me as she stands beside me.

"No, you don't know how I feel" I state and go to leave.

'I know she is your beloved' she says in my head and I stop turning to face her quickly. 'Why not tell her? She deserves to know or she won't be making a decision with all the facts. I know she loves you dearly and if she hadn't of meet Adrian. She would of chosen you' she tells me.

I sigh remembering my twentieth birthday when I became a true vampire. And realized Grace was my beloved. 'Does dad know?' I ask mum.

'Yes dear and he was thrilled at the idea of you both being together. But now things are complicated' she states.

'Tell me about' I grumble to myself. 'OK I will tell her tonight' I assure mum and she smiles.

'We are rooting for you Quinten, you'd be a better match for her then that wolf' Dad tells me though the mind link.

'Thanks dad, that means a lot' I tell him. Then I go to my assigned room and start to think of how I should tell Grace. I hope she picks me, vampires only get one beloved. Whereas werewolves can have second chance mates, vampire can't have another beloved.

(Study) Third person

"So you believe someone has placed a spell on my son?" Kyle asks.

"Yes, but we haven't figured out what spell or why. You know a wolf can only have one mate at a time unless it's twins. And Grace Quinten's beloved. Something isn't right" the hunter states.

"Well figure it out, for now lets keep it between us and our wives" Kyle tells him. The witch glares and teleports back to her master. To tell him of the new complication.

Grace's POV

"That was fun, thanks for showing me around" I tell Adrian after we got dressed. He had shown me the whole territory and where all the boundaries are. We played tag and chased the deer until the herd's buck drove us off. It was a lot of fun, but it made me miss the runs I used to have with Quinten.

"You're welcome" Adrian tells me as Quinten appears.

"Can I borrow you Grace?" he asks completely ignoring Adrian.

"Of course Quinten, see you at the BBQ Adrian" I say before Quinten leads me to his room. When we enter I realize mum had put up a spell so that the pack wouldn't hear our conversation. "What's this about Quinten?" I ask as we sit on his bed.

"I should of told you this last year" he mumbles and takes my warm hand in his cold. But it makes me feel warm and safe, like everytime he touches me. "Grace you are my beloved and I don't want to lose you" he tells me looking me in the eye. Before claiming my lips with his after I got over the shock I kiss him back. I have always loved Quinten as more then a brother and now I know he feels the same way.

He lays me on the bed laying between my legs grinding me gently as he deepens the kiss. "Quinten, I love you" I moan as he kisses my neck. "But we can't be together until I make my decision" I tell him.

"I know and I love you too" he tells me pecking me on the lips before letting me sit up. "But remember this Grace when you make your decision. A vampire only ever has one beloved, the one they love truly. Sure we could love others, but they will never be forever like a beloved. Also werewolves can have a second chance mate" he explains.

"So if I choose Adrian you'd be alone heart broken forever. But if I choose you, Adrian would most likely get a second chance mate and find happiness again. This is a lot to think about" I mumble running a hand through my short blonde hair. "Can you tell the others I'm not up for the BBQ? I need time to think" I ask/tell him.

"Already done, you can stay here if you want to" he states. "No one will disturb you here, besides Mum made it so that only our family can enter this room" he explains. I give him a smile and he kisses my forehead. "I have to go hunt, being so close to you without drinking blood. Has made me thirsty" he states and jumps out of the window.

I know he was thirsty due to his now black eyes and this explains why he has been hunting more then usual. Since he turned twenty. Vampires thirst is only quenched by their beloved's blood. I decide to rest and fall into a peaceful deep sleep. I appear in a courtyard before a very beautiful young woman.
