Loss of a loved one

Tim walked into the living room where the girls and Faith were all watching a movie. Faith looked at him and noticed he looked sad, like he was holding back tears. She stood up and walked to him. "What's wrong, baby" She asked and Tim took Faith's hand and walked into their office. "Tim, you're scaring me..." Faith said as he sat down. "Sit down, baby." He said and Faith looked concerned. "Baby, what are you doing?" Faith said and held his hand. "Your brother called, your mama's been at the hospital for a while now and... uh-" He said but Faith cut him off. "She died, didn't she?" She said and put her hand to her mouth. Tim nodded and Faith started crying. "No... No!" She screamed shaking her head. Tim pulled her to him so she was sitting on his lap and hugged her tight. "I'm so sorry, baby." He said and cried with her. The girls all walked in. "We heard screaming..." Gracie said and they stopped when they saw their parents. "What's wrong?" Maggie asked.
"Girls, come here." Tim said and looked at Faith who was trying so hard to keep it together. He put his arms around her and hugged her. The girls walked to them and sat on the table in front of them. Faith moved and sat next to Tim on the couch.
Tim held her hand and wiped his tears. He then looked at the girls.
"I just got a call from Wes. As you know your grandma has been very sick... she passed away this morning." He said and they all started crying. Audrey sat on her mother's lap and Faith held her. Tim moved so Maggie and Gracie could sit between them. He held Maggie close to him and held Gracie's hand. "I love you, Mama." Audrey said and Faith kissed her cheek. "I love you too. I love you all so much." Faith said and put her arm around Gracie. "We love you." Maggie said and held her hand. "We'll get though this together. Okay? Together we are stronger." Faith said and they all nodded. Faith wiped her tears and looked up to the ceiling. She took a deep breath. She knew her mama wouldn't want her to cry much but she couldn't help it, her heart was broken, the woman who had helped her so much and saved her life was gone... forever...

"Hey, baby." Tim said to Faith and walked to her. She stood in front of the window and stared out, only looking back for a second as Tim called her. "The girls are all asleep in Maggie's bed... They were very tired." Tim said walking slowly to his wife. He put his arms around her waist and she leaned into him. "How are you?" He said kissing her head. She sighed and turned around in his arms. He looked at her and  saw the tears on her cheeks. "Not good, baby. Not good." She said and hugged her. "I knew she was sick but... I thought she was getting better... Now she's... gone..." Faith cried to Tim's chest and he held her close. "I'm so sorry, baby." He said kissing her head. He didn't know what else to say. He was upset but he was also very grateful for being able to know such an amazing woman like Edna. She gave him Faith. She took care of her and took care of her.
