To really get the nostalgic mood of this chapter, listen to "Castle on the Hill" by Ed Sheeran while you read.

~Persephone's POV~

*Two weeks later*

Dan and Jean had thrown a party and invited all of us. We were celebrating everyone getting engaged. The only single person at the party was Rory. It was the first time all of us have been together since Disney World. Though, we weren't altogether since we didn't have Rory and Aoife.

As I looked around, I realized how much everything had changed. The real impact of how far we've all come hit me. Every single one of us is in almost a completely different situation from where we started. When I first met Dan, he was worried about Phil's crush on him and how he liked me. I was way different then, as well. When I met Dan, I was a depressed, suicidal wreck. I had no what I was doing with my life. Now, I haven't thought about suicide since I actually attempted it at Jean's house. Since then, I've fallen in love and now I have a bright outlook on my life.

After a few hours, we had settled down in the lounge. Dan stood up and raised his glass, "I'd like to make a toast."

Every sat up, raised their glasses, and gave Dan their attention.

Dan sighed and said, "I've got a lot to say, but I will keep most of it for all the wedding speeches. In these three years, I have come so far. I have met some of the most amazing people in the world. I have found my best friends and a lovely fiance. Thanks to Rory for helping me since I can't plan anything. But most of all, I have had the best time of my life. Yes, through everything, these have actually been the best years of my life. And I'm glad that I could share them with the people I have."

Everyone cheered and Dan sat back down.

Then, Rory stood up.

"Okay. I've got something to say," he stammered.

He was shaking and never looked up from his hands.

"Go ahead. You've got this!" Ivan smiled, encouragingly.

"Alright, here goes nothing," Rory mumbled.

He took a deep breath and began, "I have a confession."

He paused again, and a tense silence fell over us.

"Rory, we're your best friends. You can say anything and we won't judge you. Go, anything you need to get off your chest," Ivan reassured.

Rory began, "Yeah, of course. I-I'm in love wi-"

Rory's sentence was cut short as he fell to the floor, unconscious.

Hello, again.

Sorry I've been away for so long, I've had some life problems. Anyway, there is a reason this chapter was so nostalgic. This will be the last chapter of 50 Shades of Howell. But don't freak out just yet! This is over, but I have more stuff coming. Obviously, with the giant cliffhanger, there will be a sequel. However, the sequel will take a bit of time because I currently have no co-writer so I'm writing alone. I will see you all as soon as possible!

Signing off,

Kat
