~Jeanette's POV~

*2 weeks later*

Dan insisted that I come over for dinner, so I was on my way.

When I got to his flat, I went inside. When I closed the door, I noticed a note taped to the back of it. It read:

Hi, sweetheart. I had to go get something for my dinner recipe. Phil left last night so you will have to keep the house company. I'll be back soon.

--Dan

I didn't think anything of it. I went upstairs, into the lounge, and found another note. It read:

Hello again! Make yourself at home. If I'm not home by 6:45, go over to Rory's and stay until I get back.

I looked at the clock. It was 6:30. I went into the kitchen to get a drink and saw yet again, another note. It read:

Babe, I'm serious! If I'm not home by 6:45, go stay with Rory. People get weird at night and I don't want you to be alone. Just go over to his house and hang out, make a new friend.

I went into lounge and sat down for a bit. When I looked at the clock again, it was 6:50. I decided I would do as Dan wished and go to Rory's. I walked downstairs and knocked on Rory's door. He opened it with a big smile.

"Hey, Jean! What's up?"

"Dan went to the store and left notes for me to come stay with you if he didn't get home by a certain time, so here I am."

"Well, come on in," Rory replied, motioning for me to come in.

I walked inside and Rory closed the door. I looked around his flat, his walls were basic white, like Dan's but Rory's were covered with video game posters and little decorations.

"I'm guessing you're a video game fan," I stated, as I sat down on the sofa.

"Yeah, I don't play as much as I used to but I'm still a huge nerd over video games," he replied, sitting next to me.

"We should play together sometime."

"I have a feeling we'll be spending a lot more time together really soon."

"Why do you think that?"

"Oh, I don't know. I just really want to get to know you and we'll obviously have to spend time together to get to one another."

I got a text from Dan that said he was stuck on the underground so he wouldn't be able to get home for dinner.

I sighed, "Rory, you want to go get dinner?"

"What? I thought you were having dinner with Dan."

"I was but he can't make it home in time. So do you want to go somewhere?"

"Sure. There's an amazing pizza place just down the street."

"Pizza sounds great," I replied, getting off the couch.

We went outside to find a giant black limo. There was an older man standing next to it, holding a sign that read: Jeanette Lockheart

"Rory, what the hell is this?"

"I don't know. Apparently it's for you."

I walked over to the man.

"Are you Jeanette?" the man asked.

"Yes, sir," I replied.

"Your chariot awaits, ma'am," he smiled and opened the door.

I got in the car and looked out at Rory, "Come on."

"No, this is your thing," he replied.

The man closed the door and the limo pulled away from the curb.

"Wait!" A familiar voice yelled from outside.

I looked out the window to see a familiar scene, Dan chasing after the car. I asked the driver to stop and he did. I got out just as Dan caught up.

"What are you doing here? I thought you were stuck on the underground," I said, astonished.

"None of that matters right now," Dan panted as he tried to catch his breath.

"But what's going on?" I inquired.

"I have an exponentially important question," Dan sputtered, slowly catching his breath.

"Is something wrong? What is it?"

"Jeanette Ebony Lockheart, will you make me the happiest guy in the world and say you'll spend the rest of your life with me?"

"Dan, what are you trying to say?"

"Jeanette Ebony Lockheart," Dan got down on one knee, "will you marry me?"

I started to cry. Dan stood up again.

"D-did I do something wrong?" Dan stuttered.

I wiped away my tears, "No, you did everything perfectly. I will marry you."

Dan smiled more than I had ever seen before. He picked me up and kissed me. I could tell that this truly made Dan the happiest guy in the world.

Hola!

So the title was a bit of a troll because this isn't the last chapter. However, it is the last proposal. Next is weddings and children and growing old together! That's all for now.

Signing off,

Kat
