Lucas's POV
I can't stop thinking about her. She was perfect, but I couldn't have her. I was starting to regret making that promise to Marcus.
As I was thinking, the football we were throwing back and forth whizzed past my head. . .for the third time.
"Bro, you okay? You never miss a catch more than three times," Marcus said looking concerned.
"Don't worry, I was just thinking."
"About what?"
Not wanting to tell him of my interest in a girl he may like aswell, I lied.
"What mom's making for dinner. It's getting pretty late."
It's true that it was late, but my mom's cooking, no matter how good, was the last thing on my mind.
"You're right we should head home" he said looking. . . relieved?
It was a pretty quiet walk. But unlike our other walks home from the park, this was an uncomfortable silence. None of us wanted to address what was wrong or attempted to start a conversation.
Something was very wrong. I think he knew it too.

Author's NoteSo far the twins both like Catherine, the girl they met at the park and won't admit to the other they are interested in her because of some sort of promise. Why are they so uncomfortable around each other, though they are twins?
