Lucas' POV
Catherine is a few minutes late. It's probably nothing. I just hope she didn't blow me off.
Catherine's POV
"Hi"
"OMIGOODNESS JOVANI HIIIII!!!!" I exclaimed while jumping in for a huge hug.
" Whoa, I know I'm awesome but I didn't expect to have that kind of effect on people." Jovani said.
" When did you get back?"
" Yesterday, but I fell asleep as soon as we moved in. It was a long flight."
"Moved in where?"
"Is this an interrogation? Let's just go somewhere and enjoy each other's presence. Where were you headed?"
That was when I remembered my meet up with Lucas.
"To the park to meet a friend. You wanna come?"
"Wouldn't hurt to make some new friends here," He said with a shrug.
"Let's gooooo. I don't want to keep him waiting," I said as I was dragging him towards the park.
"Him? You got yourself a boyfriend while I was gone," He said looking hurt.
"First of all, he's just a friend. Second of all, if I decided to get a boyfriend while you were gone I don't think it would be your business," I said with a huff.
"I know I'm sorry. I'm just used to it being just us hanging out. I didn't want that to change." He said sheepishly.
"We're still friends and we will still hang out together. That hasn't changed it may just be with more people now," I said reassuringly.
At that, we arrived at the park and I saw Lucas at the bench.
"I missed this," Jovani said while he took my hand.
"I did too," I replied.
We walked up to the bench where Lucas sat.
"Hey Lucas,"I said
"Oh hey Cathe-" he stopped when he saw Jovani. He then looked down to our hands and his face fell.
