Jovani's POV

Her face instantly went blank,and then twisted into a look of confusion.

"What?"

"Do...you...like...Lucas," I asked looking her dead in the eyes. Unable to hold my stare, she looked down.

"I don't know, I think so, I-I'm not sure," she replied stuttering.

"When he kissed you, you kissed him back. Not to mention, you seemed really into it aswell. It's a yes or no question Catherine," I said shocked at the venom in my voice.

She looked up at me and then asked with accusation in her eyes, "Why do you even care."

"I WANT TO KNOW-," I took a deep breath so I wouldn't yell," I want to know if I'm wasting my time."

"How would you be wasting your time," she asked confused and her voice rising.

"You just don't get it, do you," I said bitterly.

"No, I don't. Would you care to explain," she asked impatiently.

"I LIKE YOU,OKAY!?A lot," I said the last part quietly. Almost in an instant, after the words left my mouth, I lost all my previous confidence and anger and I couldn't look her in the eye.

After what seemed like ages,but was actually only 3 minutes, with nobody daring to say a word I lost my patience.

"Catherine...say something," I pleaded.

"I don't know what to say," she replied quietly.

"How about starting with telling me how you feel?"

"I need to go," she said standing up.

"Cather-" she interrupted me.

"Please just stop Jovani. You've said enough," she pleaded quietly.

I then got up as well and quietly moved to hold the door open for her. She passed by me to exit and didn't look up from the floor. She didn't even say bye.

After she left I shut the door and plopped myself onto the living room couch.
