Catherine's POV

The next morning, I woke up to the bright sun slipping in through my window. Temporarily blinded, I wondered where I was and what had happened the night before. All of a sudden, it all came back to me.

Shizzz.

I jumped out of my bed and into the bathroom. There, I took a quick shower, and not even bothering to dry my hair, I put it into a messy bun. I got out the first clothes I could find in my closet and threw them in.

After my hasty preparation, I ran downstairs, grabbed an apple and ran out the door. Remembering I didn't tell my mom of my whereabouts, I signed and ran backwards to my house.

"Mom I'm leaving," I called into the house knowing she was already up and having her morning coffee. Not waiting for a response, I shut the door and resumed my journey.

After 10 minutes of walking I arrived at my destination. After a long internal battle, I decided to ring the doorbell.

After a while it opened and the person I needed to talk to opened the door.

"Catherine? What are you doing here?"

"Because,Jovani, I'm your best friend. Plus we need to talk."

"I didn't mean it like that. It's just you didn't call and it's 7:30 A.M...on a Saturday," he complained as he stepped aside allowing me to enter the house.

He then led me upstairs to his room. He flopped onto his bed and parted the space next to him. I sat and turned to face him.

"What happened yesterday," I asked honestly concerned.

"I don't know what you mean."

"I know you Jovani. You're never quiet at a party."

"I just didn't feel like talking. I didn't know anyone there. Plus you were busy chatting it up with Lucas," he said then immediately regretting what he said.

"I didn't mea-"

"Is that what this is about!? You're jealous," I said in amused awe.

"Well, yeah I guess. You barely spoke to me the whole party," he gasped," Is he your new bestie!!??" He asked in horror.

"What!? No Jovani."

"Ok," he said not fully convinced.

"Are there any more of your insecurities we need to talk about?"

"Well... actually nevermind."

"What is it,Jovani," I urged.

"Nothing!"

"Jova-"

"DO YOU LIKE LUCAS!"
