Lauren POV///

I played with George's hair, as we laid in bed in the wee hours of the morning. George was still sleeping, and I was awake. I jut couldn't sleep anymore.

"Ya need to give me more 'air to work with Georgie." I whispered, as I struggled to braid little strips of his hair.

I giggled as I styled it up, and then George's eyes opened.

"Uh Lau, whattya doin'?" He said, laughing.

I blushed, and I pulled my hands away from his short brown locks.

"I- was awake and I didn't wanna wake ya up so I played with yer 'air - It's very soft." I said, embarrassed.

George smiled.

"I- kinda knew."

My mouth flew open.

"Wha-how? Ye were asleep."

George stared into my eyes.

"I can 'ear everythin'. So I couldn't miss ya sayin' 'ya need to give me more 'air to work with Georgie.' " George mimicked me.

I laughed nervously.

"Alright ya caught me. D'ya know what time it is?" I asked, trying to evade the subject.

George raised a brow and looked at the clock.

"It's 6 am..... Oi! I 'ave a recordin' session today!" George jumped up, excited.

I smiled.

"Can I come?" I asked.

George nodded excitedly.

"Of course Lau! We better get dressed then if we wanna make it!" George bounced out of bed and ran to the closet.

I slowly swung my legs over the side of the bed and stood up. Something gleamed and it caught my eye. I looked down at my finger and saw the promise ring George gave me last night. Oh how I loved it.

I got up and walked into the closet and saw my suitcase full of my stuff. George was having slipping his trousers on and I giggled.

"A little tight there 'ey?"

George looked up, and blushed.

"Not a little! It's squashing my privys!" George yelped.

I laughed.

"Are they supposed to be tight around yer privys? I can see they fight fine in the legs." I said, trying to suppress my oncoming laughing fit.

George tried to scowl but he couldn't, he was smiling too.

"Exactly! Brian said they were fuckin' stylish! But they ain't comfortable! At all Lau!" George whined, as he put his undershirt on.

I kissed his cheek.

"Ya poor baby."

George huffed.

"Don't even get me started on the winkle picker boots." George mumbled.

I selected a white cami and a flowy green top with some cute white high waisted shorts and some white flats.

George fumbled with his tie and I helped him.

"Ye really need to learn how to tie that tie." I muttered.

George winked.

"I know now- but I just wanted ya to 'elp me." George sheepishly said.

I playfully punched him.

"Beaut."

George smirked.

"If I'm a beaut, yer a better beaut."

" 'ey! At least I can cook! Yer can nearly cook for the life of ye!" I defended myself, smiling.

George rolled his eyes.

"That's a bird's job. Not a mans."

I sighed.

"So sexist George." I mumbled.

George pecked me on the lips.

"Ok I'm sorry Lau."

I crossed my arms and turned my back on him.

"Aand....?" I continued.

"Birds can do whatever men can do." George said.

"What else?"

George laughed that cute little laugh of his and spoke,

"And ya are the more beautiful bird in the world and I wouldn't ask for any other."

I turned around and hugged him tightly.

"Ya are forgiven."

"No get out I 'ave to change." I shoved him out of the closet.

I slipped my clothes on and walked out of the closet and saw George reading my journal.

"No no no no no George!" I ran over and plucked it from his large hands.

I saw that the page he was reading was the day I was left in the rain by my prom date. Memories washed over me and I sighed.

"Please George, don't read it." I looked into his eyes.

He nodded. But I saw a glint in his eye- and I knew he saw more than he proclaimed he did.
