Lauren POV///

The phone rang, and George and I both scrambled over to get it. I swiftly plucked it off of the receiver and greeted the caller.

" 'Ello?" I asked, as George kissed my neck.

I squirmed a tiny bit and swatted his wandering hands away, giggling slightly.

" 'Ey Lau! It's Paul!" I heard Paul say happily.

"Oi! Paul! It's great to 'ear from ye! How are ye?" I asked.

George wrapper his slender arms around my waist tightly, and rested his chin on my shoulder.

"Gear! I was wonderin' if ye and I could grab some fish 'n chips tomorrow at the pier?" He asked.

"Sure! I would love to go. What time shall I go to yer apartment?" I asked.

"No! I'll pick ye up. Is noon alright?"

Of course, he had to be a gentleman.

"That sounds lovely. See ya then Paul."

"Alrighty then.. Bye!"

"Bye!"

I hung up the phone and faced George and laughed.

"George!!!! I was tryin' to speak to a normal human bein'." I said, giggling.

George wore a scowl, and furrowed his thick brows.

"Paul likes ya too much. It's makin' me uneasy." He said.

I scoffed.

Paul doesn't like me that way.... Does he?

"Yeah right geo, he knows I only belong to ya and ya only." I pecked him on the lips.

George held me close.

"Ye sure are." He huskily said.

Oh god that voice....

I nuzzled into his chest, feeling his rapid heartbeat.

"Just promise me that if ye ever break up with me, god forbid, that ye will never go to Paul." He begged me.

Where did this come from?

"Why are ye even saying that?" I asked.

George sighed, as he played with my hair.

"One way or another, Paul gets the girl. I've seen it. John knows to keep his distance, and Ringo won't even go there. But Paul always keeps at it. Doesn't stop." George mumbled.

Paul gets the girl.... John knows to keep his distance.... Ringo won't even go there.... But Paul always keeps at it.... Doesn't stop.

Those words bounced around in my head, and gave me a headache.

"Paul's a nice guy. He won't try anything." I said in Paul's defense.

It feels wrong to defend him, George is probably right about him.

"Yeh he is. He's a great mate to 'ave and has a great personality and is fun to be around, it's just girls he gets competitive 'bout." George reasoned.

it's just girls he gets competitive about.

Maybe deciding to go to lunch was a bad idea.

The next morning

I carefully applied my eyeliner to my eyelid, and studied my reflection. I always looked like a different person with my make up on. George came in and hugged me from behind.

"Ya don't need make up, love." He murmured against my back.

I sighed.

"I do need to look good. Paul is taking me to lunch after all." I said.

"If anything 'appens today, don't hesitate to ring me, ok? I'll pick ye up." George nervously said.

George was being overly nervous. He was acting like this was the last time I'll ever see him.

"Calm down George, it's just lunch. Not marriage vows." I kissed his plump lips, that as usual, sent shivers down my spine.

But that kiss was difference. George was kissing me with longing and extreme love. Oh George, I'm sorry.

I heard a knock from downstairs and George looked at me with pleading eyes.

"Please don't do this, ye don't 'ave to if ya don't wanna." George begged me, in a last minute attempt to keep me from going.

It was just lunch, I reminded myself. Not marriage vows.
