Adrien returned home still with time to sleep but sleep wasn't on his mind. His mind was filled with Marinette. A few days ago it would've been just Ladybug, although they were one in the same so to Adrien their was no difference. It was always Marinette and Adrien couldn't be happier, he was sure he fallen in love with her. Plagg did not share in Adrien's happy attitude.

"Okay lover boy, you need to get ready for school." Adrien wasn't quite sure why Plagg was in a grumpy mood, he seemed to get as much good sleep as he did. Why was he acting up?

"What's up with you Plagg? I would understand if you are still tired and grumpy, but you aren't. So what is the deal?" Plagg didn't reply or turn around right away. He let out a sigh and started to speak, still not turning around.

"You wouldn't understand. It has nothing to do with you so just leave it at that." Adrien felt a little hurt, even though Plagg didn't yell. Adrien wasn't happy with the answer and grabbed his Kwami. Plagg phased through his hand each time Adrien would recapture him, but finally gave up as he knew it could go on for awhile.

"Fine." Plagg said in defeat. "It's about Tikki." Adrien was expecting that at all. What about Tikki could get Plagg so worked up over? "You see, she and I have been partners for thousands of years, we are always teamed up with each other. You can't have one or the other, Ladybugs and Chat Noirs have always worked together and in sync. They are destined to work and be together, however there are times when we aren't needed. We come out in the more difficult times and special occasions, so Tikki and I don't really get to see each other." Adrien was finally understanding where this was going and had Plagg rest on his open palm. "And even when we are in use it can be a long time before we see one another again." Adrien had a very sorry expression on his face. If someone or something like that got in the way of him seeing Marinette he'd go crazy. Plagg quickly assured him, "don't worry about it kid. We've waited a lot longer than a few months. It can be years before we are reconnected..." Plagg lost all train of thought and started staring off into space with a pained expression on his face. Adrien couldn't even begin to fathom what the little Kwami had went through from his past Holders but Adrien still gave it his all to comfort him.

"I understand Plagg, but I always thought your love was for cheese." Of course Adrien had to make a joke to lighten the mood, which Plagg played along as well.

"Oh it is, but I was literally made for Tikki. We are two halves of one." Adrien pressed his Kwami to his cheek in a hug. Plagg did nothing at first but then he started pushing away. "Okay, okay, thank you now go get ready for school." Adrien's laughs brought the mood back up. He got ready, and was about to leave when an idea popped into his head.

"Hey Plagg. Why don't you just visit Tikki while we are at school? Marinette told me that she always has Tikki around in her purse she hand-made." Why did he feel like sharing that last part? It wasn't important to the conversation but it was important to him.

"That's a good idea, oh thank you Adrien!" Adrien hasn't seen Plagg this happy since he took that field trip to the cheese factory. A lot of set backs that day. Plagg hid into his backpack and they were off to school.

============================================================

Marinette was unusually giddy for a Tuesday, Alya had deducted that much. What she was unable to deduce was the cause of it. Ever since Marinette arrived at school skipping, Alya had all reasons to question her, which turned out to be more difficult that anticipated. Marinette would only be half listening and would do an occasional twirl when ever she did say something. They sat down in their seats and Marinette was dreamily redid her ponytails, until Adrien walked through. They waved as they always have but their looks lingered and Marinette felt like she had all the confidence in the world, which shocked Alya more than the last time Marinette had confidence around Adrien. It was like seeing a whole new Marinette, and Alya wanted to know why. Marinette still wasn't giving her much of an answer, and didn't stop asking until the bell rung. She threatened Marinette with asking more questions after class, but Marinette didn't care she was lost in her thoughts.
