"Lucas why did you drag me here?"
"Sit." He said motioning to his bed
"Why do you have doubts about us?"
"Nothing ever works out, I mean you saw what happened last time." She said softly
"Maya there is no doubt in my mind that I want us to last forever."
"How can you hope for something that long?" Maya asked genuinely
"Because I don't want to think we won't work." He said staring at her
"Lucas we're freshman in high school."
"Technically we're both supposed to be sophomores." He smiled
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be, I just want everything to be okay between us."
"I do too."
"The school year is almost over, we're getting older, everythings gonna be fine." Lucas paused "I won't promise because you never know what's gonna happen,but I will hope."
"Thank you Lucas." Maya smiled slightly
"Always."

"How doyou feel about the end of the school year?" Farkle asked him
"I'm ready for summer, and finals suck ass."
He laughed "Amen to that. How are you and Maya?"
"It's going great, I had to talk her down the other day but I think it'll be fine, hopefully."
"She's a bit stubborn." Farkle nodded
"I just have to work with her on that, I think it's the best way."
"I know it'll work." Farkle reassured
Lucas shrugged "I'm hoping."
"I am too."
"So what happened between you and Smackle?" Lucas asked knowingly, he had heard that they had broken up, but Farkle didn't seem to distraught
"She broke up with me, I had a feeling awhile ago that it wasn't gonna last, we just became distant." He said sitting down
"So Riley?" Lucas asked
"Nah." He paused "Or at least not now."
"You'll find somebody, I'm sure of it."
"Well I'm glad you are, we'll just have to see."
