Mason's POV!
After the incident that took place, I was treated and taken to a cell. The place was really dark and although I felt like sleeping so many times. I just couldn't.
My mind kept on wondering if Malia was alright, she fell pretty hard and Eli told me she would be alright but I couldn't help but still be bothered about her.
When the private investigator took me to the FBI and after hours of talking nothing happened.
Turns out there was a mole in the bureau who had been giving out our activities.
Being so angry at that time I didn't think, only acted and that's what landed me into this hellhole. Now I have added more pain for Malia.
Suddenly the door cracked open and someone was pushed in. Her voice sounded exactly like Marilyn's own, but I kept quiet and waited for the person to make another sound to be made.
Using my hands as my guide in the darkness, I crawled to where I presumed the person laid still.
Luckily as I aproached the body, breathing could be heard.
Turning my body back, I decided to crawl back to my spot. Glad that the person lying there wasn't dead. But was stopped by the voice.
"Who is there?" Their question sounded more of a struggle. Turning once more, I faced the direction of the voice.
I don't know how long I stayed stuck to my position but all I knew was I wasn't sure if speaking was a good option at this time.
I'm sure if she heard my voice, she will be so disappointed.
All work and plan at making things become alright has been crumbled and thrown in the dustbin like a piece of paper.
"Whoever is there please speak up" her voice was a bit shaky but she made it sound as normal as she could.
I guess I have no choice but to speak up. I sighed deeply and spoke up.
"It's me Marilyn, It's Mason"
"Mason? what are you doing here? did she get you to? Oh no, I knew she was up to no good right from the start of that night. She has always been evil. You know sometimes I wonder whether she truly is my twin but looks can't lie. Funny thing is we are the exact opposite. I keep asking myself where did this bad side of her come from"... She coughs, she was really stressing herself.
"But now I know the answer, she let our grandmother poison her mind right from the start, I just knew that her being grandma's favorite was not going to be good"
Marilyn coughs again but harder.
"Marilyn, I think you need to stop stressing your voice"
"Thanks son but.. I'm Fine" she coughed out.
"You need water, stay still I'm going to find the door and bang on it"
I left Marilyn's side and started crawling to the door, using my hands to feel up in the walls.
"Mason, it's no use. No matter how you bang on that door, they won't open it neither will they pay heed to your words, it's just no use"
I could hear the sadness in her voice.
What kind of a person won't have human sympathy towards her sister not just a sister but a twin.
At least a connection should be there. Twins aren't like this but Marissa was a definition of an evil twin sister.
Once again the door opened, but this time the lights where switched on making them blind my vision.
I blinked so many times before my eyes could adjust to the bright light.
